vladcizsolMemberI think Blackjack is much less intimidating to casual players. Poker has gotten too sharkey for most folks.

InactiveI’ve promoted and played some of the smaller Blackjack tournaments at Get21.com and while it’s “interesting” it doesn’t FEEL like the next big thing to me.
It’s OK – it’s a game – but the complexities of blackjack are limited – and it’s almost a battle of prehand staking and mathematics rather than actually playing the cards.
We dished out the Get21.com cash (free $10 for everyone) and got a quite a few trialists – about 100 – I think that we’ve had 1-2 people actually re-deposit and there is no buzz on the forum once the inital rush died down.
I’ve read the hype in the magazines – and was interested to give it a go but having played around a dozen tournaments – I’m not really running back for more.
It might be a thing for casual players – but after playing it I don’t really see this current variant taking off – something is lacking.

InactiveProfessor – Tournament Blackjack is the perfect hybrid between a Casino Player and a Poker Player. It provides a certain skill level with an added luck factor.
Paul – As we discussed by phone, longer 10 hand tournaments will ultimately be more intriguing. For now our emphasis is on the quick games so that players will learn the game. A few more smart playing people like you, will provide the challange you seek.
Currently the TV show that airs in the US gets around 1.2 million viewers for one episode. Now that it is coming to Europe, it is only a matter of time.
Affiliates are known as entrepreneurs, I think you are recognizing the oppurtunity, but don’t tell anyone – so you will have a bigger market share :shhh:

InactiveI think, Blackjack game is traditional mostly in USA, and is not so popular in other countries. Is it right?

InactiveActually, the game evolved from France (Vingt et Un).
“Blackjack” was a US land casino invention of a promotion where the Ace of Spades and a black Jack combination was given a bonus payout.
Blackjack today is the second most popular casino game in land casinos, around the globe.
Some say it is time for blackjack to be autonomous, on its own – just like the poker.
Thanks,
Shay
