    Yeah it doesn’t seem like the best way to go about getting online gambling regulated, but at least it’s an effort. I’ve written more at the CAP News page.

    Yes, I agree, but maybe that’s the way to unwind the UIGEA, in an election year. Bury it with something that is more important. Of course, tax simplification is way, way overdue, but will probably never make it off the floor, due to the strong CPA lobby. The way to handle that is with a simple VAT-like flat tax, that taxes on consumables, that everyone will have to pay.
