Does anyone know if the new Big Dollar is going to pay the debts of the old Big Dollar? They still owe me my April commission check.

I’m not 100% certain, but judging from a snail mail promo I received, Big Dollar is now part of Grand Prive.

I agree with Greedy on this one it is now part of Grand Prive. I bet we can all just forget about any outstanding monies due.

If you click the affiliate link on the homepage it does not take you to referspot.

I doesn’t say “Grand Prive” anywhere on the site I can find.

I just read the letter today, and it says Big Dollar was bought by Ashanti (Ltd.).

Donna received this too and seems to be the case.

I just called Big Dollar support, and at the very least, Grand Prive is providing support for them, since they say they have hired outside support, but the letter clearly says they are now owned by Ashanti.

I wish they would start their affiliate program.

No it say’s they are backed by Ashanti, and I assume that is the huge mining company in S.A, but if it is indeed GP you will not be seeing the affiliate program up asap, they will market all the players first then cut the affiliates in on it. Yashin(Referspot) says that they will be including the affiliates on new casinos when the new program is up to date though.

    Hi there all,

I was wondering if anyone else had any conversations about Big Dollar Casino’s affiliate program?

Having a forum, there have been lots of posts about this ‘new’ casino (well I’m sure most know the history so I won’t go on about that and their Brightshare days), but my annoyance here is their marketing seems to be excluding affiliates on purpose – using all of the players we have referred to (ahem) Grand Prive Casinos and then marketing to them with no cross-referral from those that originally referred these players.

Now, I am pretty sure that most ‘decent’ Microgaming affiliate programs reward their affiliates for cross-marketing when they refer a player to one of their ‘sister’ casinos – but this is not the case with Big Dollar.

I wrote a rather annoyed note to Referspot, and sorry to be venting but I’m getting rather annoyed with them. They say they are ‘nothing to do with Big Dollar’ except then they admit they ARE doing the affiliate program AND casino support.

Referspot have for some reason taken AGES to release their new affiliate program/site – which has been promised for well over a year, from which before we had Lake Palace casino (when a similar thing happened), riding the forums for free advertising of their no deposit bonuses and having no referrals.

As an affiliate amongst many paying for the upkeep of my sites – this is paid for by affiliate programs for casinos we are referring players to – either via forum topics or any means.

Big Dollar who’s affiliate program is supposed to be at http://www.bigdollaraffiliates.com – just says ‘testing’ or something.

Anyway, my point (at last lol)..

Having spoken with someone from Referspot about this today they reassured me ‘something’ was coming – hopefully for CAP Euro – for referspot and bigdollar would follow – but I’ve just heard this too many times.

What I don’t understand is this – how they can set up a new casinos ‘just like that’ but can’t (or maybe don’t / won’t) set up an affiliate program with it – it seems like pretty standard stuff to me – microgaming must capture and be able to provide a great number of stats based on which page/site the player came from.

I have created a 468×60 banner to show when Big Dollar is mentioned at our forum – http://www.casino-crush.com/images/bigdollar/bigdollar468.gif.

The point being here I feel safer promoting and having links to casinos that we have an affiliate agreement, revenues (ideally) and more importantly for forum members – a contact should any issues occur – which we don’t have.

I was thinking Maybe if more affiliates can apply some pressure they can get their act together a bit more quickly.

I know Grand Prive (Referspot) have had a bunch of complaints in the not so distant past about things, and you’d think they (directly involved or not), might actually pull their finger out and speed things up …

    Venting over… lol…

Any other feedback/findings would be most appreciated.

Happy Promoting Always I hope ;)

I have been yelling about this same thing for over a year now, they cut the affiliates out on purpose. They cross market players and in the referspot thread you will see a thread where the former af(yashin) admitted to this and defended it as well. We have lost sooo much rev off this program it is sick, they are not promoted heavy anymore from us. I was waiting for the new program to come out to start promoting them again because I spoke to the new ceo in vegas and was promised many changes. I will be watching very very close to see these changes.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s had the same ‘fob-offs’ lol..

Similarly – I remember similar conversations at CAC in Vegas (I think the one before last lol)..

The call I had today about my email actually provoked me further – it just seems like they are hiding *something* – and they were more concerned what I wouldn’t stop promoting referspot / grand prive casinos – well until they buck-up – the amount of banners being shown for them is going to be heavily reduced – plenty of ‘more deserving’ and better maintained affiliate sites (I often laugh when logging into referspot and see the greeting is “There are lots of exciting Festive and New Year promotions. ” (and that was for last year or maybe even the one before) lol…

OK I’m done – will await to see other peoples’ thoughts on this.

Thanks for your reply bonustreak ;)

    Happy Holidays all :)

Wow, this is some crazy stuff I have learned about Grand Prive casinos. I never knew they were cross marketing. I think there should be a forum section dedicated to cross marketing. Everyone here is a casino member from somewhere, Whenever you receive an email from the casino you are playing at telling you about another casino new one or old one, mention it at the forum so we can look into it.

Do you all know of the magazines sent out by casino pays, refer back, and what not. If a player reads the magazine, the player we brought to them, they signup from the magazine to another casino, are we paid commission? Seems like we should be, we sent them the player and they are cross marketing their other brands, not via email, but print material.

    Any thoughts on this???

    Hi jackpotcasinoguide,

Well I thought (and have confirmed this with my affiliate manager at Referback) that at least some do… and ReferBack is one of those…

At ReferBack a new player is linked to you at customer level. What this means is that you receive the credit for the player across all brands and accounts.

I’m not sure on others I’m afraid.

    Cheers,
    Geno/CC
