Everyone moaned but life goes on.

InactiveWasn’t Bet On Sports the largest offshore sportbook at one point?

InactiveYes, they were massive actually.
The started “offline” though, which is where they differ from some of the other major players in the industry. It wasn’t until only 2 years ago (or perhaps less) that they started aggressively advertising online and taking wagers over the internet. I think a big part of the reason why they’re under the microscope with the DoJ is because of the fact that they accept wagers over the phone which of course is in direct violation of the Wire Act.

InactiveHere’s the word from SportsBookReview.com:
IGOTsportsbook tells SBR that the primary owner is Brad Mitchell who previously managed Jaguar Sports, although the consensus from IGOTGaming employees and industry insiders in Costa Rica is the operation is financed by Gary Kaplan, founder and former owner of BetOnSports.
Gary Kaplan, also known as Greg Champion, was the founder and primary operator of BoS.
Here’s a look at the indictment.

InactiveAs long as questions like “who is the owner of a sportsbook” yield answers such as this
Gary Kaplan, also known as Greg Champion, was the founder and primary operator of BoS.
it´s evident that the gaming industry has a long way to go to become mature.
