BetFred are a quite well known UK Sports Bookmakers established in the 1960’s by Fred Done. One of the biggest independants.
They’ve had zero SportingBet content in the past .. and I beleive that they’re still independant.
But SportingBet are a huge outfit now – with cash to splash – so it does always pay to question a new program.

Just to reiterate, we are a completely independent company and program. As the Gooner said Betfred was started in 1967 by Fred and Peter Done who are still hugely involved in the running of the business to date. Fred is a very hand on type of guy and sees the value in the internet and affiliate marketing.
A relative late comer to the affiliate scene and the internet, Betfred are now making up for lost time. The growth of the company in the time I have been here, just over 4 months has been immense and I want to carry this on and grow it even further. The fact that we arrived late does not mean we did not learn from others mistakes.

– 550+ shops across the UK
– Yearly turnover in excess £650 million
– One of the top four bookmakers in UK
– £70 million being spent on expansion in next five yearsBetfred are certainly going places and have the financial backing in place to make it happen. The affiliate side is run by myself (poker and casino) and Russell (sportsbook), both of which were in Vegas at this years (2005) CAC. We run great offers for affiliates and punters alike and hold regular freerolls as a bit of fun for our affiliates.
We are also looking at expanding our American market so if you can help us target this area please let me know, I am totally approachable, and that’s the way I like to work. I can be reached by email, icq and msn messenger and regularly put in the after hours to help make this program evolve.

That’s good to hear.
One can’t be too careful. I just almost made a deal with BillyBingo, and then found out they were owned by Sportingbet. These folks are diversifying and leaving screwed affiliates in their wake.
