In 1998, 21 online gambling operators were charged with violating an obscure 1962 “Wire Act” for which only one person was convicted and others plea bargained. One, Al Ross of Island Casino, received probation. Still others remain fugitives of the U.S. law to this day. Weeks following the initial indictments, five more companies and additional principals of those operations were indicted as well. Jessica Davis and Bill Scott received additional indictments at that time. Davis remained an executive of Bet Corp’s BetWWTS.com until only two months ago following yet another indictment. BetCorp, nor its subsidiary BetWWTS.com, have skipped a beat since that time.
They have many subsidiaries, Tasman Gaming Inc and Sinsational Intertainment Inc , BetWWTS.com, Ready2Bet.com and such.
Like I said before, people need to stop taking US sportsbets over the phone. It is and always has been illegal.
I am sad that betonsports panicked as they did. They have screwed things up for everyone else.
