I was wondering how long it usually takes to get a new page indexed. In my Webmaster tools it says a couple more pages submitted than indexed. So I guess google hasn’t go to the new pages yet?
Also in my sitemap I have 2 more pages than are indexed, why would that be?
Also what’s the best way to get a new page indexed quickly? Is fetching as google in Webmaster tools a good idea?

The best way is to submit the site to Google and wait
I remember the times when Google was indexing within month or two 
Today it’s working a “little” bit faster As long as you have a sitemap, or a link pointing to the page, google will index it. There’s no telling how long it would take. Every site is different. Busy sites that update regularly get indexed faster from what I see.

It will also depend which country you´re targeting in. If you have some specific country or/and TLD then it will be a bit faster than in basic english market..
