InactiveThis is telling me 44% of the population believes that wrestling is real. No wonder they’ll believe anything Bush says.

InactiveActually not quite.
What it’s telling you is that 44% didn’t think it was fixed – but there would be a large % of no opinion on all sports.
Many sports fans don’t watch everything – so minority sports – such as wrestling or NASCAR or golf or tennis etc – will get a significant “don’t know”.
And let’s factor in the margin of error – 5% of respondants thought that the Olympics are fixed

Meet Mr 5% ….
:tongue:What are you missing?
– The Olympics come around every four years
– Most participants are not paid highly to compete
– Most particiapants get one – ONE – Olympics at their peak.

:baaa:You’re right. It would be harder, and different. I don’t think they are fixed… just that it wouldn’t impossible.
Kinda like horse racing… Trying to fix an outcome in skiing is difficult because you can only convince so many participants to go along, and you’re chances of being caught go up dramatically with each person you approach.
Of those listed in this thread, I’d say that only NBA and Boxing allow any real opportunities for that. MLB and NFL – only if you can find someone who will surely touch the ball a lot.

as you have stated in the past sir … we seldom disagree and I’m thinking this is more of a lack of “thought-out” than disagreeing …
not too mention this matters about as much as disagreeing about whether NASA ever actually landed on the moon
so with that said I offer that even one pass-interference ,… one getting beaten at the position of pass-blocker, or pass defender position at a key-moment in timing can change an nfl game greatly and yet the ball is never touched.
from your friendly conspiracy-minded cinic who loses too damn much on his football bets and refuses to admit it might be my incompetences
