Alot of sites offer ‘extra’s ‘ like 1000$ if you get 50 new accounts a month for them. Or a free trip to a soccer match if you are in the top 10 of affiliates, and so on and on! A GREAT way to motivate affiliates to promote the program even more.

What is the best incentive you ever got and what do you prefer? A bonus on top of your earnings or a product like tickets, games, shirts, vacantions etc.

First off, I dislike the contests about “who can send the biggest number of players”.

There should be contests about sending the best quality players instead.

A rational reward to me would be an increase in revshare %. That’s a lasting benefit.

As far as gifts go, small gifts go a long way, like chocolates or flowers or wine or what have you. Have you thought to give unexpected little gifts to well performing affiliates?

Pleasure trips, personally, I don’t have the time. It’s difficult enough making time just for the conferences. Trips to conferences are good, everyone benefits from these, you included.

Vacations make more sense if you are going to be there also.

Amazon gift cards or such are good, one can get whatever one likes best.

Of course money is always nice.

I like the programs which gives you a bigger comissions. Usually they raise it when you earn xxx amount in a month, but i mean programs which gives you a 40% comission before you earn 10k in a month with them.

I really dont care about incentives and affiliate competitions, but when we got a child. My friends at incomeaccess sent a flowers to my GF and our son. That was nice. Ofcourse they are nice, because they want me to promote their properties more, but it was nice anyway :)

I agree with that. Besides that you always have the feeling as a ‘smaller’ affiliate that you can’t beat the bigger ones even if you wanted just because you have a smaller audience or advertising in a smaller country. I don’t think these contests aren’t really motivating and most of the time the same people end on top.

This is a good thread – we try to encompass or appeal to as many affiliates as possible with our competitions but they also have to be cost effective.

More ideas on what will appeal to the masses are most welcomed :)

I also am not a fan of the “Send us a ton of traffic/players” contests because for one, I just don’t trust the results when there is no supporting information other than a first name and last initial.

I think the gift card is perfect as well as the surprize gift that arrive with no strings attached. :D

Income Access and Referback are two that have sent me gifts out of the blue, one of which was a wedding gift which was very thoughtful.

From our point of view as AM I could not agree more with you, Chris. This threat will give us knowledge on what motivates our affiliates and target even more our promotions. We might find also that they can be more cost effective than what we imagine. (Tangible gifts).

C’mon affiliates!!! We want to give you what you guys want!

I agree- a reward in the form of increased rev share or an additional CPA on top of the existing rev share always incentivises me. I don´t mind if there are player targets- better if it´s stepped.

What always winds me up and makes me avoid a program like the plague, are the “raffle-prize” targets- ie send us a bazillion players next month, and you´ll get a free entry into a prize draw to win a second hand food processor. Independently audited of course.

years ago Casino Coins sponsered a group of us to a gathering and I bonded with some of the top affs in the business and this relationship has lasted years.

I believe that it is a good thing, we all need to get out of the box (computer) and meet and greet. We also took a helo into the Grand Canyon which was awsome.

Interesting question is aswell: When do you hand out incentives. If someone makes 5k in sales every month? Or 20k+ ? Or is it interesting enough to give smaller incentives to people who just make 500 for you every month to motivate them and keep them in and make ’em promote it more.

The best incentives I have gotten is being paid on time ,groups like slotocash and fortune dont have to ask us to give them more players and traffic .We promote them because of their reputations with us and our players. One group took me out to dinner 3 times in 2007 trying to get me to deal with them ,I enjoyed the dinners but not to the point of actively promoting them hahaha.Higher commissions will get higher positions but if you have 10 groups you do well with it becomes harder to decide who gets top 3-4 then a gift or a nice dinner may be the deciding factor :)

    Hello,

Being an affiliate manager for almost a decade, we have to come up with creative gift ideas so affiliates will not forget about it. It didn’t matter the value of the gift.

Competitions are meant to be fun, challenging and applicable to all members. Not just for top players.

I remember giving away beer machines one time. :)

    Cheers,

Best incentive I ever got was buying a TV and getting free computer and stereo :)
