Why is it so hard to get a standard sized banner these days?

    I needed a 728×90 and a 234×60 from each advertiser for a new site.

    GoldenCasino – no 234×60
    PokerStars – no 234×60
Full Tilt – no 234×60, but they have 240x60?
    Bodog – neither size
    PDC – neither size
    Absolute – WHEEEE both sizes…

Every program should have the standard IAB banner sizes covered at the very least.

If you want to have some other funky sizes – great have them too. But please cover the standards first – they exist for a reason!

I completely agree. This is VERY frustrating when doing site updates. Let me throw in an additional pet peave.

Casinos please have banners available in the standard sizes for each game type, IE Slots, Blackjack, Video Poker etc… Many of us have Niche sites and we need creatives that target specific game players.

Agree with that one too Prof.

Hardly anyone has game specific banners, and they are a great conversion tool.

It’s all bonus bonus bonus…. Which doesn’t work that well anymore.

I’ve been amazed how few 728×60 banners are available, since they convert well, much better than 468×60.

This is a really helpful thread.

I’m about to draft some new banners for one of our casinos, so if you guys have any more tips on which types of banners are converting best at the moment, please share :allears:

    Programs need to supply matching….

    *creative (banner)
*landing page (related to the banner)

Oh then if the banner has an offer… the offer should be automatically applied to the players account. Make it easy for them….

I can’t believe the number of sports books I promote who don’t offer sport specific banners and landing pages.

125 x 125 (Square Button) is my preference for banner size but these are not easy to find either. A real pain when you are trying to keep your site to a certain standard… not to mention my design skills suck and I don’t have time to make my own.
