When I read this post about 8 hours back, the text was:
“- Termination of hostile CAP efforts, such as the T&C alert monitoring and CAP audits. Instead, we will partner with folks who already do this well, such as AGD and APCW.”It is not a good sign that you start “a lot of positive changes at CAP in the future” with a censor, even if it is only self-censor.
At the request of a few members in private, I simply edited this portion out until Anthony or J.Todd were able to publicly comment on this issue via this thread. I have already spoken to both Anthony from APCW and Andy from AGD and have shared my intentions with them.
I will refrain from any self-censorship and will post a clarification within the same thread instead in the future.

I agree. I would love to see Lou as a community member again. He has tons to contribute.
But not if this will turn into a boxing ring for Affiliate Media. Internal company issues need to be handled internally and not spill over into the community and cause havoc among us.
There is a difference between free speech and fights and flaming. I do not like flaming, and I always try to break up fights asap. This is a business forum, and we need to deal with our own businesses, not Affiliate Media’s.
I would like to see Lou as a community member again as well, but as Dom said, it won’t be possible until all internal company issues are resolved.
I do like the “elected, independent group of industry experts”. I think, lol. I have a lot of thinking to do. I would like to see a distinct separation between who runs the community and who runs the business. I don’t want the business arm to set the overall tone and direction of the community in any way. I think, from a community member’s point of view, that’s where things ran afoul.
It is my goal to create a clear distinction – i.e. the community should run independently. Although CAP itself is a business, the community is not. I believe we can achieve this by giving more control and authority to the moderators (which have no other duty or interest in the business) and governing the community actions by a committee.
Any comments or feedback would be appreciated on this.
