Depends on the country, but on average you should expect to be ok. A general rule of thumb is evaluate the CPA offering from the sportsbook and add 25-50% to see what your break even point should be at the very minimum. I’ve used this strategy in the past and it works.

Hopefully TheGooner can provide some detailed feedback on this topic as he’s really the expert IMHO when dealing with non-US sportsbooks.

Come on – you know that I’m going to have say … “it depends”.

    It depends on :
    – the actual betting site that you are promoting (Bet365 v ladbrokes v Betfair v NordicBet)
    – the size and scale of the deposit bonus being offered
    – the keywords being targetted (bonus hunters will max out the bonus only)
    – the quality and depth of the affiliate site (detailed sites get experienced players – bigger)
    – and of course the reward scheme that you are on (rev-share, cpa, percentage, negatives)

But as long as you are not targetting the arse end of the spectrum (free bet) and the program is a solid program then I’d expect at least an average of €100 initial deposit.

The question is whether you and your partner can encourage second deposits and loyal playing.

    Hi guys,

I launched an ad campaign a few days back for a know sportsbook, targeting different european countries, and after calculating the numbers, it seems that the CPA I’m paying for each depositing player is about $100.

Now, obviously I am risking here a lot of money if I bring a few depositers daily and it will take time to evaluate the value of each so I wonder if anybody can tell me from past experience if paying $100 for a player should be worth it?

The sportsbook also has a casino, so some players will probably play that too.

    Thank you in advance!

Any Sportsbook that can get players for under $150 is generally very happy, so I think you are on a great ticket here. So long as the players are “average” players, both you and the rooms should both be making good money.

    Maximise your returns and enjoy.
