InactiveIncidentally, if you want to try this out quickly and you run PHP (HTML users see here), simply add the following line to one of your pages.
@readfile(“http://www.affcaff.com/000000000000/snippets.txt?show=lucky_nugget_casino|bonus”);
?>
You should then see the Lucky Nugget bonus on your page and a small link to get a unique ID of your own. Once you get your free unique ID and replace the 0000000’s (in the code above) with it, the link will disappear forever.
You can then use your ID for any of the codes for 250 or so properties with your ID as listed here: http://www.affcaff.com/webmasters/snippetCodes.php and the latest bonus/promotion will always be displayed on your site for ever.
Note, you could also wrap the code above in your own affiliate link thus:
@readfile(“http://www.affcaff.com/000000000000/snippets.txt?show=lucky_nugget_casino|bonus”);
?>
PS. That’s the “Lite” version of affCAFF – a good place to start quickly and get a feel for it. There is also a much more feature rich version you could install (again it’s free) which does stats tracking and link management etc.

Stuff like the number of US politicians who received campaign funds from parties who wanted to see the UIGEA through, on how many New Yorkers eat cookie dough on a daily basis and the number of Germans who didn’t cry last Sunday.
Oh and this: http://www.affcaff.com/webmasters/manual/advanced_stats_tracking.php

InactiveDamn, that’s no good! I wanted to know how many Eskimos bought refrigerators that day and how many mice were caught by cats while eating cheese that night!

InactiveWell, despite the lack of information on eskimos and cheese eating mice, I managed to get through the day without crying myself to sleep.
Not sure about coming Sunday though!

This really made my day, I couldn’t stop laughing after I read it. I think probably because I live with 2 cats and a kitten at the moment… and I’m allergic to them!

InactiveAre you taking zyrtec or a related drug? You won’t have allergic reactions when taking those, they work extremely well.

Inactivesimmo,
is this the same ‘system’ that was freely available to affiliates few years with casinos listing bonuses and promos? i forget the name but i think some affiliate was involved in the making of it…and it might have been YOU!

i remember i used to use it as its super easy for updating bonuses and such, until casinos and poker rooms stopped updating their data and the figures stopped being reliable. after that, i’m extremely weary of relying on someone else’s update responsibilities.
there is also the issue that casinos/poker rooms/whatever dont update the bonus/promotion section in the same format, where often bonuses are listed the same under promotions. not a rant, just out of personal experience :3eyes:
but other then that, its an excellent service. good job mate!

gamingtranslationMemberMore casinos should try offering an RSS feed of their bonuses, sign-up incentives and special deals, with affiliate tracking. HollywoodAffiliates uses an RSS feed for their tournaments and its great.

Hi Splinterfree
Yes you’re thinking back to Casinofeed which I originally developed. Because both developing it and trying to sell it was too much for me, CAP and I struck a deal to take it forward but unfortunately it was bad timing – just before the UIGEA struck and at a time when both CAP and I had other priorities so the development was postponed and eventually fell by the wayside.
This time round, I was approached by someone to help with an RSS system (that I think was destined for the Travel industry) and I saw the opportunity to re-develop it into a more advanced version of the original Casinofeed system so we struck up a deal to do that.
The key to the system is to get programs to support it – quite a few have spotted that the facility to effectively update their affiliates websites with the latest info is a big time-saver although the guy who’s running it is having to (with my help) get bedded into gaming and he’s doing the “business” side while I am handling the support for the affiliate side in gaming.
The affiliate programs quite understandably want to see affiliates using it to make it worth their while, so clearly there is an element of Catch22 for us. As long as we can persuade both affiliates and programs to support it, it will become an indispensible tool – and of course being free to affiliates helps!
To ensure affiliates don’t get caught out by implementing something that the programs don’t update, which happened the first time round, we have undertaken to ensure all the signup bonuses are kept fully up-to-date (although we do sometimes rely on people informing us as there are just so many), and I think the guys are about to offer the programs a “promotions data entry” service too.
We’ve also now implemented a “full” system and a “lite” system as per my original post which makes life dead easy to implement it.
Feedback from those that have used it (on both sides) so far has been good and there are around 60 affiliate sites that have registered so far. We’ve had suggestions for new stuff which we’ve implemented and we add new properties as and when requested. If the support continues as it’s started, it will fly, but obviously receiving the support of affiliates is very important.
But essentially it’s exactly the same principle: add a bit of code to your webpages and it will always ensure you are showing the latest bonus/promotion/news so it’s zero-maintenance.
Hope that answers your questions

Cheers,
Simmo!
