The CAP Community is comprised of quite a few folks that focus on the Australian Market. Just wanted to share the following article that gives a great rundown about this niche:

Is Online Gambling Legal in Australia?

Anyone have some tips on the Aussie market- What to do and what not to do?

Poker is really big here, yer Australia’s pretty cruisy , in every club pub there is poker tournaments where you play for play money but at the end of each day tournamant if you make it to the end table ( the winner wins real money ) hundred bucks.

    Its great fun.

and just about everyone that plays in the tournament plays poker stars.

As for the online poker market as an affiliates, is that the demographic you focus on casinodude?

Just curious… do you think offline or online poker is stronger in AUS?

Online poker is much stronger here. We have smaller local live comps. And then there is the Aussie Millions once a year.

But yah, everyone plays at stars.

Online poker is strong – but its stronger these days because of that Aussie winning the poker tournament which spawned all these poker tournaments in RSL’s and clubs here.

Demographic: not so much Australia atm, more UK, USA and Germany (for the EURO value of the dollar and they speak very good english in Germany so its good for promotions), staying away from italy and the rest ect.

I’m only promoting USA only sites and pushing them on the UK at this point in time.
Here how my new sites looking by the way
    Welcome to http://www.alistcasinogames.com

still finishing it up to launch new look today :)

I’m basically pushing graphicly good looking sites (like Aladdins Casino) and i’m pushing them on the UK, because I have a theory that when this USA market opens up finally. It would be good advantage to have USA casino’s with alot of UK players aswell :)
I Think its a better idea at this point and time to focus on USA casino’s that accept UK players, ready for when USA online gaming takes off.

Of course I’m taking a risk that it could all crumble (eggs in one basket and all)/ but I’m going to take the risk. Hopefully it all works out.

and will be adding UK casino’s in the future but for now doing the USA casino’s and promoting them in the UK and Germany. :)
