InactiveThanks for the recap, professor.
I am still being hit by sobig – I get some 10 mails every minute and am mass purging my mail constantly.quote:
Lower conversions due to increased difficulty processing online gambling transactions. The noose is getting ever tighter and our players are getting more and more frustrated in regards to banking. Even previously accepted debit cards are now routinely rejected. You can see evidence of this in the increased number of Neteller promotions offered by the casinos as they scramble to find alternative payment methods that offset the lost revenues.
This is my worst worry. Payment methods are a huge problem. In my opinion it is the single most important obstacle this industry faces, bigger yet than the US law.See all those downloads without real players in your statistics?
That is getting worse and worse! I think we need to get active promoting two things: Neteller, which I think will weather the storm, and profreedom, which is doing an excellent job and will succeed this time around also, with our continued support.
There is one more factor. Scumware.
Yes, it is growing into an epidemic. Just yesterday I downloaded Gator for the first time since I got booted from GPWA, and what I see has my hair stand on end.
With the lack of general support, and even accusations by Cindy of inappropriate conduct in the matter, I have stopped contacting Gator’s new casino clients. No more conversations about how much they are hurting affiliates, and so now they are not dropping Gator. The boycott is basically off, nobody is minding the ship.
Gator, whenu and several other scumware products are stealing us blind. All hell is unleashed. They are not popping on top of most affiliate sites, but they are covering up the casinos your players picked with one that has Gator’s aff code, not yours.
This is getting to be a bigger problem by the day.
Gator is very happy, They will also attend the conference in Vegas unchallenged, since I have no proper way to address the affiliate community to arrange for an alternate event officially.
Inofficially, I herewith invite all of the affiliates and managers to meet in the lobby (bar) of the Stardust on the afternoon before CAC. I will not be up to arranging a complete event, but we can discuss action and perhaps go out for some fun while Gator speaks. I have already heard from several people who will be in Vegas to meet with other affilates and managers but will not attend CAC.
I am much more openminded this time around – perhaps I will even talk to Mr. Fishhead. It depends on the support I find for any actions.
Cheers!

InactiveHi All,
June & July were my #1 & #2 months of all time, August is looking to top both, listening to your comments, its kind of depressing to think of what it could be like if there wasn’t all these problems.

InactiveI was tops in February, March and April, despite being off on vacation in Europe for a month.
Those were really great months.

Inactivei feel as though August is bad, and i think it’s because the sites i expect to produce aren’t doing that. and the casinos i expect to produce aren’t converting.
but, i just checked the actual stats, and if the month ended today, it would be my second best month ever, up about 20% over average. Barring some bad luck, i should easily have my best month ever.
you’re right prof, a lot of things are lining up against us. and my reals to real depositings is, imo, aweful. one of my fav programs, 18 reals. zero depositors. but, the cash levels are not at all disappointing.
hey, i’ll take luck when i can get it.

My traditional producers are down in terms of player conversions and new depositers as well. I believe the “transaction declined” problem is more pronounced for the larger more established casinos as the financial institutions “recognize” them as online gambling much faster then samller operators. This would also explain why new casinos often initially produce much higher conversion rates for depositors until they are also IDed by the banks.
Thank heavans for our existing players as they are much more willing to jump through the necessary hoops to get a deposit into their account. That seems to be sustaining those of us with large enough player bases for the time being.

Guest1. The Google re-indexing hit me below the belt…Some of the sites I operate that don’t have any dodgy stuff lost out to “spammy” sites. This may mean that adjustments have to be made to the portals to cater to Google’s new tastes…
2. Payment Processing is the foremost obstacle facing this industry right now. I agree that promoting e-wallets like Neteller will help the gambling industry in the end.
3. Mostly, I am concerned about US legislation…If the worse comes to pass, there will still be gamblers out there to entice, but the numbers will be smaller and competition will be tougher.
If, however, the current bill dies in the Senate, per rumors that Native American gaming interests are of concern, the industry will be OK for a while…
Why doesn’t the US jump on the bandwagon and Join the UK in licensing Online Casinos?
Online Casinos offer much more than Land casinos:
WHY?1. Convenience.
2. Variety of Betting Options ie. Sportsbook and Casino site combos.
3. BONUS CASH! When was the last time anyone walked through the door of a casino and was given money?
4. Multi-player interaction
5. Payout odds better than Vegas in many cases…Regulating the industry will make it better…Prohibiting the industry will only force gamblers to go under ground and launder their bank rolls through clandestine means…
Just my 2 cents for the day….
