InactiveThe McAfee site advisor has been telling users that the MGS software is malware for a long time. As far as I am aware, MGS is in talks to get this revoked so far to no success. This has been going on for quite some time.
The best thing that you can do in this case (for site advisor) is to create a user account there and leave positive feedback for any “red” sites you are linked to, as well as for your own. At least this way you can give your users the peace of mine that people have checked out the site and can say there is no malware or viruses there.
Hope this info helps.
I haven’t heard of any other anti-virus software that has a fit over MGS software.
Cheers

wooMemberIt is Boss Media !! Probably NO big issue, but there is antivir software that warns users when they try to download BossMedia software from my german websites. I will not give you the brands which I advertise, but it is definitely BossMedia and the players which contacted me are all german. I cannot give you the name of the antivir software, but players do not contact me for fun…

voodoomanMemberI use NOD32 Antivirus and found that it was giving an alert for Microgaming and Playtech software about a year ago.
Recently it seems to be accepting Microgaming software without any problems, however it is still blocking Playtech software.
I posted an article on my site in February to update my readers: http://www.onlinecasinobonus.co.za/2009/02/16/nod32-anti-virus-software-false-positive-alerts/

EvidgignivaceMemberIt’s funny! I have been seeing more and more about this.
I have the same problem, and I contacted Site Advisor. They do not actually scan any software. It’s user submittal. I DID follow all of the precedures, with respect to their review process and nothing was solved.
So, this is what I did.
I went to Norton Antivirus or norton.com and created an account. I had a manual scan done of the software that my affiliate provides and it came up completely clean.
I then created a link from my website index that has a norton seal of approval. At least this way users can see that Norton, who have been around many years before Mcafee, approved my site. You can see the Norton banner on my site: http://32x.com
I created the banner in Adobe, using an existing Symantec (Norton) logo.As far as Site Advisor, I do not know what to say. They will not bend!

And I was told the exact opposite of what you were by McAfee.
They told me that they have some scripts that scan a site and all the links for stuff, then report accordingly.
I’ll give you an example: siteadvisor.com/sites/gamesandcasino.com
That is Dominique’s site. There are no negative posts there about her site, yet they continue to mark her as yellow even though she has removed the links to what they say she has not. If they did another scan on her site they would easily see that there is nothing malicious there.
casino1784 – perhaps you should tell us which anti-virus software and which casinos are coming up as bad so that other affiliates may be able to put some info on their sites about it to ensure players do not leave once they get this.

They KNOW and ADMIT that there is nothing malicious there!
They say once they have found something malicious (and this was NOT malicious, it was just casino links) they will continue to flag the site for an indefinite time. They kept me red flagged for over a year after they admitted there was nothing there. Recently they changed it to a yellow flag.
All the while they are perfectly aware that there is nothing there.
I think they have a quota – they have to list x number of malicious sites in order for their service (which is contracted by Yahoo and shows in Yahoo searches) to look worthwhile.

InactiveMcAfee seems to be a bit oversensitive with gaming sites. Recently they have started flagging Party Poker software too.
I guess the gaming softwares are not saints either. Since they have the opportunity, they must be scouting/monitoring the players’ computers for usage of competition – e.g. XyZ casino checking whether the player plays at other casinos. If this is true McAfee or other antivirus can’t be blamed for flagging the gaming softwares.
