I do have something to add to this.
Just after the stage show our good friend came up to me stating that someone had stolen his wallet….. After a brief….or not so brief moment of panic myself I remembered that he gave it to me for safe keeping. They were wrapped up in his clothes that he didn’t seem too concerned about at the moment but I was :hattip:German Girls Rule:thumbsup:

Funny stories…hmmmm I have one moment that comes to my mind when traveling from Barcelona to California after a very successful CAP Euro show…
John, myself and Greg were waiting patiently to check in at the airport. We all were going to try and talk the airline attendant to upgrade us to first class. Now if any of you have been to Barcelona, the majority of the country ONLY speaks Spanish… So our very “observant” friend Gpowell decided that nobody spoke English so he could say whatever he wanted. We were all pretty fed up with having been driven around in circles by the cab drivers and pretty much not knowing the country language.
As we walked over to the counter Greg exclaims ” Bitch Give Me First Class!”:banger: John and myself were so shocked we were speechless! At this point, I was convinced that security would be showing up at any minute to escort us out of the airport! Anyhow, the attendant obviously didnt give us first class..but did shoot Greg a very nasty look. The rest of the flight back John, myself and Greg were rolling in laughter! And to this day it still brings a chuckle!:la-de-da:

Remind me not to send Greg to ask for a room upgrade for us in Barcelona this year! :tongue:
Captain can you please share “The Panties” incident at Miami Spring Break when we were all at the Loews? Thats one of my favorite’s to this day!

Back in those days I use to manage player retention for a bunch of casinos and used to send out weekly promotions to the players. As a policy we use to forward the promotion mailer to the global list of the employees in the company.
There used to be a guy who had joined the acquisition team and religiously replied to all the promo emails with a proposal to promote his brand. After a month on a Friday afternoon he suddenly burst out of anger. When people enquired about the reasons, he mentioned that he was fed up with the casino which spams him at will and never replies to his emails.
The irony was that his cubicle was right opposite to me and the reply to address in all my emails was a no-reply id where responses got junked.

Go to the LobbyThis young kid right out of school had joined as a trainee member of the acquisition team was waiting eagerly to be trained by his boss about the poker product. His boss asked to go to the lobby (boss meant PrtyPoker lobby) and wait for him.
Poor fellow went outside and waited in the lobby (reception) for couple of hours waiting for his boss to turn up.
PS – Currently both of them are doing well. One of them heads a large team in one of the gaming companies and the other is a successful affiliate.

Loving the stories so far…. but I’m pretty spoilt and I want more stories to choose from before I decide the winners!!
So lets open the game up and make it a little interesting….
So as well as online gambling stories, I am willing to hear funny stories from affiliates about CAP events in the past (excluding Yvette as we know she has a few :tongue: but if you want to contribute for banter purposes you are more than welcome!!), also I want to hear some good sales pitches from AM’s as to why you should promote their programs. Basically anything related to online gambling…and if it makes me giggle you are in with a shout!

I think this happened back in 2005. I came home one night from the pub and a night out with my buddies. I was a little tipsy, but it still wasn’t that late so I decided to play a little online poker.
I logged into my PartyPoker account that had around $1200 in it I think, and immediately started searching for a game to get into. So I find either a $3-$6 NL or $5-$10 NL game and jumped right in.
I soon realize that this table is filled with idiots. People are pushing all-in, consistently making terrible calls, and the best part is they are re-loading too!
So I play pretty conservatively over the next couple hours and just take advantage of all the loose money. After a few hours I turned $1200 into just shy of $10K….. I was still in shock as to what happened.
So I decide to call it a night and log-out as a big winner. Before logging out though, I go to the cashier screen to look at my balance and the big windfall I just had. WTF, my balance is still around $1200????
As it turns out I spent the entire time playing at a play money table and never even realized it. Oops! So let that be a lesson on why you should never play online poker after a night of drinking.
