Given there are only 24 hours in a day and people need to sleep, I don’t know how it would be possible to do updates every day even on the small number of sites you have.

That’s the cataylst of this thread, too many sites and not enough hours in the day :D

Well, like I said, that’s why I concentrate on one site.

I have in the region of 160 live sites, but can honestly say that there is probably only 8 to 10 of these that regularly produce players.
Every now and again I will pick up the odd player from one of the “dormant” sites. I call them dormant because they are old sites and live but generally only get updated when a casino closes down, tracking links need to be changed etc.

I can say for certainty that the sites that regularly give us the players are the ones that we update regularly.
I guess I just keep all of the other ones for a rainy day in the hopes that one day I may have the time/resources to revamp and update them.

    Hi,

we had a real big network on skill gaming sites, but after a while we decided to “kill” the non performing sites and we concentraded on the handfull good working sites.

I think authority is the most important thing with google, and I have always concentrated on that only. Steady as she goes.

30 hours a week on one site is probably much more beneficial than 1 hour a week on each of 30 different sites. But the time still needs to be well spent.

I have almost 30 of them and am really confused, which one to keep and which one to let go as these are costing heavily. Some of them are average sites. It seems no old technique is really working with google and what exactly the new technique I have no idea. Is there any one can share?

That’s kind of a tough question to answer, but perhaps you could rank all of your sites out of 10 for the following things, and see which ones come out the highest overall:

    1. Amount of content (excluding thin content pages)
    2. Amount of traffic
    3. Number of conversions (I am assuming this probably doesn’t apply to you that much either because of lack of site-specific tracking, or due to lack of conversions….however including it in the list just in case)
    4. Bounce rate (the lower the better)
    5. Average time a visitor spends at the site (the higher the better obv)
    6. Strength of domain name or brand
    7. Visual quality of the site (custom templates/logos etc)
    8. How passionate you are about the niche/subject of the site – will make regular new content in the future easier, the more passionate you are.
    9. Age of site
    10. Number of high quality natural inbound links
