    Hello all…

In light of recent activities with GPWA, and the rumbling which accompany them, I have decided to throw the doors open on APCW for webmasters who wish to join.

The revenue needed for auditing and operation will be derived from casino members.

I hope this encourages those of you who have not signed up to participate, as APCW will only be taken seriously if we have a strong base of affiliates.

I think what you are doing is imprortent

    Janet (and everyone else),

I truly thank you for your support and confidence in the organization.

Originally, the thought of a small monthly “dues” for webmasters seemed like a good idea to me for several reasons:

    1) I believed it would weed out webmasters who may have been less serious about this business.

    2) I thought it would lend more credibility to the organization by demonstrating to casinos that webmasters could function independently if need be.

    And,

    3) It would put the APCW in a slightly better financial position to act on political and professional issues that sometimes come along.

    =======================

Now, it seems that webmaster participation has stalled. The current members are active, but (until today) there had been no new applications in a couple of weeks.

To me, it seems that even $10 a month is more than some webmasters are willing to part with. Therefore, I run the risk of losing casino members if the APCW’s webmaster base isn’t growing.

That’s what has brought me to this point… The $10 a month from webmasters really didn’t/doesn’t make or break the APCW… it was more for the reasons listed above. Sure, it would have helped greatly over time… but at this point, today’s decision seems to be the correct one.

    Hi,

well I would think the programs would have no problem picking up our end of the stick simply for economic reason. Its a lot cheaper to spend your time addressing a group than it is to do it one at a time.

Prof mentioned to me that often such places like what you’re doing will not do well for sponsors in terms of signing new webmasters because most the time we’ve already signed up by the time we make it to here; or there; as the case may be.

anyway, I think that if that’s all the sponsors think is important; then the sponsors gravely overlook the value of being somewhere that serious money-making affiliates hang-out and trade info on a daily basis. If they are balking at paying a fee to be there then they are truly foolish.

While its true that they might not get very many newbies; what the honest programs WILL GET is the attention of seasoned promoters proven to make money and/or those newbies that are truly the “up and comers” who will be tomorrow’s super-affiliates. They’ll be just starting to understand the biz well and I would guestimate having reached the point where they’ll be cutting dead weight from their sites (programs that don’t produce; be it because of shaving or incompetence; same end result) which they will have just learned who the bad ones are: and they’ll be looking to replace the afore mentioned with something new.

I can’t imagine a better position to be in; than one where you have a thread for easy aff access to you; and the kudos of proven money-making webmasters. That’s a locke if you stay honest with your affiliates and pay them what they rightly deserve and have earned.

Shaving / non-producing sponsors would not do well in this arena. in the end; we will see you for what you are; and just like I’m in no hurry to ever promote a fallen star again (note I said shaving OR non-producing, I am not saying they are cheats; but I AM saying they don’t make me any money); the same it will be for all sponsors known to shave, cheat, not pay affiliates for what we rightly earned, or simply are incompetent businesses that cannot “finish the sale” for us.

we will talk, the rest the group will listen, and act accordingly.

What you have Int is a win – win -win situation for honest people. I love the whole idea.

    Just to clarify:

NO Casino Program has stated that they would pull out of APCW for any reason. It is just my personal feeling that they would be happier if there were more webmasters involved.

But thank you to all who are currently supporting APCW… and I appreciate your faith in the program. And if there are any webmasters with reservations, please feel free to address them here or via private email.

I can’t remember exactly how I found out about The APCW – I just saw a banner, clicked to investigate, and liked what I saw.

To get other webmasters to join: We all do link exchanges, why not have a link to the APCW at the bottom of each email to other casino-portal webmasters, with a little encouraging text?

I agree with an earlier poster that a donate option would be better than nothing. I would be happy to donate to the APCW. If there were fees, I would still take part.

Hello Fergie, and welcome to APCW. It’s good to see such an interest right off the bat! :)

    >>>…why not have a link to the APCW at the bottom of each email to other casino-portal webmasters…

Members are encouraged to place APCW banners on any gambling related pages on their site they wish. You may use banners in emails if you want to, or text links… basically I don’t mind how you let people know you’re in the APCW, so long as it’s done responsibly.

As far as linking to one another, that is a possibility. We could put links below the banners which stated something like:

“Click Here to Visit Another APCW Member Site”

Getting members to participate may not be 100% though… :( All the members who I see in CAP would join in, I think. But there are some members who just want the banner on their sites. That’s certainly their decision to do, although I think they are missing out.

As far as ant fees or donations go:

Donations : I just don’t feel right about accepting any donations, as I have stated that the APCW is a service oriented business… not a non-profit organization.

Fees : Currently, I have collected ZERO dollars for APCW. As you have seen above in this thread, many webmasters will not join if there is a fee… even just a $10 one. Perhaps if there is ever a need for APCW to “hire” someone to help me crunch numbers, then a small monthly “dues” would be implemented. As of now, webmasters are still on the FREE schedule. :p
