InactiveI’m in FL also and use BS DSL. Not sure what you mean. Maybe with more details I can help you out.

InactiveI have BS and I can send via any of my email addresses, but I use Outlook Express. Maybe your problem is with Eudora?

InactiveToo true Siouxzee! I’ve been with Eudora since 1997 so anything else wasn’t an option for me.
It appears that BS, since it’s takeover by AT&T (can’t stand them), have instituted filters that insist on a user name and p/w for every outgoing mail if it isn’t …@bellsouth.net. If your addies are webmaster@domainname, which mine are, you’re out of luck.
I’m researching Eudora today (after 3 hours on the phone to BS yesterday) to see if the newest version ($19.95) allows input of user name and p/w for each outgoing. From the chat forums on Eudora’s site, it appears that this is so – but I think you have to input a different port. Also they’ve added the ability to pull-down one-click your originating addy instead of having to re-type it in Tools all the time :woohoo:

InactiveI use a program called TheBat! by RitLabs and you can specify your SMTP for each account. I’ve been using it for years and have always used my ISP’s SMTP server regardless of the incoming POP info ([email protected]) and have never had a problem, even now since the AT&T mess

InactiveDon’t know what version of Eudora you are using, but I have 5.1 (and I’ve been using Eudora since about 1995) – and 5.1 definitely allows each account to have login and password.
The only real complaint I have now about Eudora is that encryption is a pain in the butt and requires the purchase of a plug-in. Other than that Eudora has been a star, easy to back up (simply copy the directory), easy to move to a new computer (simply copy the directory), etc.
I have resisted Outlook and its variants since day one. It’s bad enough I have to use Windows and Office and IE already…
I did finally have to start using Outlook Express with my new job since November – specifically because of the encryption plus custom settings for the mail server – but Eudora continues to handle everything else for me, even without an upgrade for at least the last 6-7 years.

InactiveI use Bellsouth with Outlook and can send from any email address. Under my outgoing mail server I use mail.bellsouth.net and I don’t have any problems.
