InactiveWe carry Full Tilt Poker on our sites as it IS a good player experience.
(see http://www.goonersguide.com/poker_fulltilt.html )They only offer 20% until a threashhold (which we’ve never reached).
There seem to be a lot of categories of charges :Player Bonus
Player Added
Player Fees.
Used Points
FraudThe affiliate support is close to zero – and I’ve never had a satisfactory explaination as to exactly what Player Added and Player Fees are.
Typically all these categories take about half of the rake – and then you get 20% of that. So it’s hardly lucrative.
:dozing:But on the good side – we’ve never had any “dropped players” or any “fraud” fees – so we do consider it an honest program.
sigh.gifOverall – it’s OK for affiliates – and it is a good site for players.

InactiveThey have many fee’s and really take a chunk out of the 20% revenue share. It gets down close to 15% or a little bit less once they take out all the fee’s.

InactiveFull tilt is, in my opinion, one of the best sites to promote. They convert like absolute crazy, ask any serious affiliate of theirs and you will see amazing convertion rates of 20-25%+ and even up to 45%. They also do a great job of retaining players with their mass marketing and promotions.
The only weaknesses they have are mainly a sub-standard affiliate control panel, non-personalised ‘affiliate managers’ and of course the fees. But the way they convert more than makes up for it.

InactiveThey are great as their conversions are nice. However, I would read the TAC carefully as it states that they share 20% of the PROFIT and not 20% of the GROSS REVENUE.
They are certainly an asset to anybody who is promoting them because of their high retention.

InactiveWe have a special deal with FT, and believe me 20% is not 20% with FT.
There are numerous fees, bonuses, etc. that are taken off of the base rate..more than any other poker room. The brand name attracts alot of players…but it would be very difficult to make some bucks at the base 20% due to the fee structure.
FYI…on a side note…The numbers also seem to come in favour of FT..just below our next performance hops. Seems like we are always off $5-$50 every month. Strange isn’t it.
I totally concur with what Gooner is saying – little support and if you can handle the fees it is a decent program to promote.

InactiveAs with anything it depends on your site. We target tournament players so our FT revenue is very low.

InactiveI pretty much agree with Gooner and the other comments, poor affiliate support and too many charges deducted.
However, they do convert well to paying players and in answer to Doms question, the stats are much improved over what they were.
You have to balance everything up but I’d certainly say they were honest enough and pay quick. Ok so it maybe works out at less than 20% but add the conversion rate in there and you’re maybe just as well off with Full Tilt.

InactiveI find this clause pretty objectionable:
4.3. Time and Minimum Amount of Payment. Affiliate Fees will be paid and sent out to you within fifteen (15) days of the close of each calendar month, except that, if the total amount due is less than USD$50, the balance will be carried over and added to the next month’s Affiliate Fees until the total amount is more than USD$50. In the event, the balance amount carried over does not total USD$50 within a consecutive three (3) month period, then the amount due will be voided and cancelled, and we may terminate this Agreement.August 14, 2006 at 5:59 am #701966Anonymous
InactiveMy favorite place to play, but the affiliate system does leave alot to be desired. Just viewing reports is still a challenge, only available as a CSV or XML, neither of which works to well for me.
They only have email support (for players and affiliates), though my last issue got a pretty quick response and resolution. Not sure that they enforce the payout terms, I’ve had payments processed for much less than $50. Have been on the program for over a year and never seem to have over the $50 threshold and haven’t been cut.

InactiveI have to concur with most of what was said…. a great room for the player, but not the greatest Affiliate program I’ve been involved with. Once fee’s are deducted monthly, your take is closer to 13%. It would come down to dollars…. if you are doing well enought with them, it may be worth it for you.

InactiveNothing new to add, just agreeing:
Full Tilt is my favorite place to play, but making money with them is akin to squeezing blood from a stone. The many fees bleed profits out, and the stats are virtually non-existent, being emailed to you monthly.
For those who micro-manage their campaigns, the stats leave a lot to be desired.
