InactiveI was talking to an operator about BG the otherday – They said they have a lot of players from Greece and Turkey but like a number of skill games the amount spent per player is low so you need a big player base to do well or hope they will move across into moe profitable side games – I would be interested to hear from BG affiliate though

nick777MemberI have represented both BG and Gammon Empire. I have received a decent number of visitors searching for Backgammon; gotten some downloads but no conversions.
Although, I think my problem is traffic more than conversion.
Gammon Empire used to accept U.S. players but no longer. However, my visitors are generally from Turkey and also Euro areas.
If I would recommend: BG

Hrono_manMemberI am promoting backgammon for more than a year now and starting to see some increase in numbers. Converting players to Real Money Players is more difficult than with poker. On the other hand it is much easier to get nice rankings and it is still growing… You can send me a pm if you’d like some more info.

InactiveI have promoted it since they came out first, and it continues to grow slowly but surely.

vladcizsolMemberWhat Backgammon needs to get it over is a major name player. Celebrities really drive Online Poker. Gus Hansen was a world champion backgammon player if I am not mistaken. I would love to see him rep for a Backgammon program. That would be very good for drawing poker players over to play with Gus and they just might get hooked on the game in the process.

InactiveThat’s a great idea, and backgammon is easily learned and hard to master, much like poker. It does get addicitve.

The backgammon WBA tournament in Estoril, Portugal will start shortly. They have an expected payout of $1,000,000

I am hoping that will get some media coverage…

vladcizsolMemberExactly. What we need now is for Gus to link up with an Online Backgammon Room. Whoever is first to bring on a celebrity player like Gus will do extremely well in the market place.

InactiveI agree with the professor….. I also believe gammon, gin , and cribbage will be huge considering the popularity of the exchanging of moneys over a computer playing some sort of game. it’s all a matter of time.

Sam DavidMemberHi gooder,
I have worked in the past for an affiliate program that offered backgammon. To be profitable the operators must have good liquidity in order for the players to be able to find other good players to play with.
I suggest that you target Greece, Turkey and Israel, which have a tradition for backgammon and a good internet access rate.
In countries of the Middle East, it is very common to see people on the street and on the beach, playing backgammon but targeting these countries will be a lot harder due to internet access issues.
