I don’t think that it’s got anything to do with Sitemaps. My main site was at around 280 pages indexed before it dropped back to under 80, 2 weeks ago.
It’s now back up to over 300. I think Google has a problem.
I use sitemaps without any apparent problems …
:satisfiedGoogle has indexed 14000 pages for me.
A tremendous feat by google, as I have only written 1500 or so.
Joeyl, it means that scrapers are taking a piggyback ride on your work.
I have some 3000 pages and google has 17000.
The discrepancy is scraper sites, but it’s a pain to go hunt them dwn all the time.

The deindexing of sites has been a problem recently. There´s been a lot of anxious chatter about it. However everything seems to be back to normal again:la-de-da:
