Sleep is definitely something of the past for me, and even when i do manage to sleep 4 hours i dream about work, the weirdest dream i’ve had was i was a bit and i was travelling in a wire.

That is too funny fictionnet. It’s reminded me of similar incidents such as waking up at midnight and then struggling at 2pm to stay awake till 6pm so I can go to bed at a more reasonable hour. But one thing I have noticed… sleeping during the night is a lot more restorative than sleeping during the day.

Right, you guys and gals are going about it all wrong and you probably know it.
I can fix, send me $25 by paypal, neteller or ummmm…and I can set you straight on my super affiliate straighten you out for life CD.

Ahh…WTF. Here it is for free.

    1. The world runs 24 hours at a time and doesn’t mean you have to.
    2. There are things that HAVE to be done during the working day, do them first, browsing porn/ebay etc are LEISURE ACTIVITIES!
    3. How much of your super long hours online are actually INCOME producing efforts, consider the below answers:
    1. All of it
    2. Most of it.
    3. Little of it.

Any answer of YES to 1 & 2 is probably lying to yourself. ;)

You work all these super long hours doing WHAT exactly? This is not really a demanding business, you can earn while you sleep once established.

IF your online business takes all your time and over 8 hours per day you might want to consider another occupation.

I have made a rule for myself – no computer after 5 to 6pm.

For a time this worked very well giving me family time in the evening and regaining a normal sleep pattern and sanity.

Now I get up around 4am and start working – it is now 4:30 am on a Saturday, lol!

This is much better for a normal life though, I get the work out of the way and have a lot more time for myself.

I am going to stick with this, the time frame allows me to communicate with people around the globe and still have time for a nice evening. It’s still not normal, but it’s much better managed.

Luckily, I have a baby that makes me go to sleep at night time (9 months old, so we lay down together until she falls asleep, which takes so long that I end up falling asleep, too).

Unfortunately, she also wakes me up early… Anywhere between 6am and 9am.

I have a kid that likes to wake me up early too. She’s 4 yrs old. This morning she woke me up at 7am. I told her to go back to sleep and then she woke me up again. She starts preschool this year so I’m gonna have to fix my sleep pattern real soon.

playing poker and doing affiliate work used to take a toll on me, then I figured something out. Its not about sleeping, its about waking up. So if I go to sleep at 2am I still wake up at 9 (usually works out to be 8:30 AM). That way I can get to sleep around midnight (sometimes as late as 1am).

If I were not to set my alarm clock like I used to do. The next night I would get to bed at 4am, then 5am then I would be going to bed at noon.

The key for me is waking up and having so days where I need to gut it out if I am up late. But what I find is that on those days I get to bed at a better time.

I never sleep properly… I work all day and then I go out.

Even when I go to sleep early all I can think about is work and I end up sleeping late.

I remember that this industry after a few months became a way of life.
Its not for the money, at the end its about getting your kicks and improving performance. Conversions Conversions Conversions…

I got to sleep at 5am and at 10am I got to be in the office

But I love the work :Partier:

Great thread! I work 3 days a week in an office. I get health insurence that this industry doesn’t provide and it gets me out of the house. It also helps regulate sleeping at night. When I don’t have to go to the office I get dressed into the new pajamas for the day. :woo-hoo:

    Hi again all,

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not on a 24 hour schedule. my theory ….. I’m on about a 26 hour schedule.

doesn’t matter when I start to when I finish … if you allow for the occaisonal long hour day .. roughly it seems I’m about 26 hours. continually gaining/losing (don’t ask me to do the math) on a regular schedule … and eventually it comes full circle.

consider this theory next time it comes to mind. I think it may have merit.

I take time out (usually 4 pm to 10 pm) for time with the kids nearly every day. doesn’t matter. the theory of 26 hours (roughly) still seems to hold water with me.

but then again …. I’m a crazy SOB. that said ….. I still think I’m more sane than most who watch their lives dwindle away not having time for the more important things in life. my luxury is that i’m able to conform my odd sleep pattern to always be able to work around the (most important) being the kids.

and any you young parents who haven’t read my thread in the free for all …. starts out ….. got kids? Read it! You’ll thank me in 15 years.

    :)

BB1Web your thoery is actually fact. I used to read a lot of science books on the brain and a lot of them covered the circadian cycle (the 24 hour clock)

When they place people in caves with no natural light for a period of a week or more they notice that people start sleeping in anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half later each day. (this depended on the individual but the average was one hour) If the people were left for a month or so they would come out and be surprised at the fact that they lost a day. The theory is that we actually run on a 25 hour clock.

Here is an article on it:
    http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/922567322.html

Just look up 25 hour circadian cycle on google and you will see a lot more articles! It’s interesting reading for nerds like me :turkey:

    Wow! thanks A!

I have a lot of people I’m going to have to show this article. ……and they all thought I was crazy ……. which I am …. but turns out for different reasons lol.

btw … really interesting reading if you are inclined.

the downside is …. ain’t nothing good about the way we’re living according to that article.
