If you enter *Bodog* on Google, their new site, http://www.Bodoglife.com, appears on position 1.

This site is only a few days old, but its already on top of Google.

Anybody has an explanation for this?

It is very interesting from SEO perspective

Could be money – but how about trying to think it out ?

    1) the domain bodoglife contains the word bodog.
    2) the site will have lots of use of the word bodog.
    3) They will already have tens of thousands (millions?) of text links and banners (with alt text) all containing the word bodog point to bodoglife.

Those three things will get you ranked … Surely any sort of SE worth it’s salt would look at those trends and rank bodoglife.com ahead of bodog.com

What about the old bodog.com site you ask ?
The old site is bleeding links and must surely be showing bad link trends.

So yes it is money – but only in terms of the power of affiliate links – rather than a special pruchase or backroom deal … (well in my opniion anyway)

You have to remember that there was a pretty nice chance of them becoming instantly indexed due to the very high amount of one way links (via press releases and news posts) on affiliate and news sites. We even blogged about it when we heard :)

Keep on posting and watch the SERP’s rise and rise…
