I don’t really know what the position is for US affiliates…so can’t really be of any help there, sorry! The only thing you could obviously do if you still own the site/domain etc would be to sell it to get some extra money, rather than just letting it die?

    No change.
There’s a new bill in Congress to stop UIGEA, but it is still a working progress..

I’m not a lawyer but I haven’t seen any difference. They are not enforcing the law, they can’t. And I think that many people believe that UIGEA made online gambling illegal, it didn’t, it only made the transfer of funds illegal. Except for the 11 states, online gambling is legal in the US. I would make the site active.

Sell it to me ;) Seems like a waste not doing anything with it.

Yeah, I put up an anti Bill Frist message on the website and had that up and running for awhile, but now the site is just gathering dust. I’m always open for offers but…

I miss that extra 2K a month! It seemed like every month, the site just kept making more money!

Alright, I’ve already received a few offers on the site and if anyone is interested, I’m posting the site:

    http://www.poker-reviews.net

(just so everyone can laugh at the crappy design…I didn’t even know how to use css at the time)

BUT: the strength of the site has been it’s search engine optimization. Check out the visitor stats via this page:

Take the reporting period back to 2006 when the site was up and running and you can see the potential. All backlinks are still there – and hey, the site was started in 2005 so it’s bypassed the Google sandbox.

In the site’s heyday, it was ranking #7 on Google for “online poker reviews,” and #1 on MSN for the same term. Other review pages (e.g., “bodog poker review, absolute poker review”) were at the top as well.

If anyone wants to make an offer, PM me. C’mon, help a grad student pay off his loans. :)

And apologies in advance if this belongs in some other part of the forum.

It is very easy. Find a foreign partner to receive the commission. Then receive the consulation fee from partner. It is legal without any problem.
