    Dear Affiliates,

Thank you for those of you that contacted us with regards to the proposed
changes to our current affiliate program. We had many valid concerns to
these changes (many that we over looked) prior to sending the suggested
    revisions out.

For this reason we will ensure that no changes will be made to your current
    affiliate agreement.

Our intent with this email was to clean up a very old database of members,
many which have been inactive for months if not years. We can see from your
responses that our initial email could and should have been worded better.

Any new terms to the current affiliate program will only impact new
affiliates and not any accounts prior to today’s date. We will commit to
providing commissions for the lifetime of the players you have brought into
    our network

    Regards,
    Mike

I felt it was important to respond to the posts made earlier today with regards to our proposed changes with our affiliate network.

I received many email from affiliates one of who made the original post. Many affiliates that did contact me brought up very fair and valid concerns about our intended changes and how it will affect their current affiliate agreement with us.

Our intent for this email was to remove affiliates from our 5-year-old database that no longer promote our sites or have little or no activity in their affiliates accounts. We see now from the responses that this could have been done much better and will be sending another email out to our affiliates insuring them that WE WILL NOT move forward with these proposed changes.

We can see from the responses that changing agreements that are already in place with our affiliates is wrong and cannot be done. For this reason we will ensure that all agreements prior to today will be honored and the affiliates within our network will be paid in full for the lifetime value of the players that they have brought in.

Should we have thought this out a little bit better before contacting our affiliates..YES. Can we make sure that previous agreements are honored…YES and we will.

Many affiliates made many very valid points and their feedback has not only been read but has been put into place to ensure their current agreements still stand.

If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact me personally and I will address then one by one.

Now they’re changing their story. Although I have absolutely no idea what this first line means:

“Just got off the phone with a friend in the casino industry about you….lol

I’m kinda interested in what this comment was all about. I know how I personally would have taken it. Perhaps MRolland would be interested in explaining that as well the tone of the initial emails which I find to be unprofessional and insulting. Guess it’s a good thing it wasn’t directed at me, huh.

He answered that after I asked him twice about it. It was:

“A friend who is a casino affiliate manager said that someone was bad
mouthing us in a form. I asked if was “TheUltimateCasinoGuide” and they
said it was. If this was not you then sorry.”

    :cuss:
Even commission junction does this apparently. I admit that I’ve severly limited my commission junction campaign to fill some geo-targeting but I even had a balance with these guys and was subscribed to dozens of programs.

The real burn is that I put my minimum cashout value high and still had an outstanding balance from when I was promoting alot of CJ programs.

Oh yeah and they failed to inform me when this happened — so I’ve been promoting their programs for who knows how long for free. All the banners and links do still work.

    Dear Publisher,

Due to inactivity with your Commission Junction account it has been deactivated. To ensure that the Commission Junction network is efficient and beneficial to our advertisers and publishers we have a dormancy policy. The policy states when our publishers do not generate revenue for more than 6 months, we automatically deactivate them.

Unfortunately, we do not have the functionality to reactivate accounts once they are removed. Since you had a free account please sign up for another account using an alternate email address. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Sincerely,
    Commission Junction’s Client Services

Well, we do try to keep our own industry clean and make sure business practices are above board and contracts are honored, but we can’t be policing the net.

I am glad that thebingoaffiliates thought about it and decided to do the right thing and honor the contracts made with affiliates.

I think it is very important to work in an environment where we can rely on the word of our partner programs. There are enough insecurities in our business.

Neither side should forget that we are partners – and we should treat each other the way we would like to be treated.
