How can you promote a casino to players that you don’t trust? That’s abhorrent and sums up everything that’s wrong about the affiliate model. Well not everything, but a sizeable chunk of it. You have no grounds to complain about others being morally irresponsible when you are doing it yourself.
Additionally, you’re not doing the rest of us any favours as far as reputation goes.

Inactivecasinosca wrote:This was originally a response to Cpays. I have dealt with Cpays for several years. They are friendly, but Cpays is very ethically challenged. They have owed me money for years. They lie, they cheat, but they do know how to use the telephone and they are individually friendly people. I have made money with them and they have made more. I would not trust them with $1.00 of my own money.Pretty hypocritical IMO when I have a look at your sites and see CPays sites listed on them. If you really feel this way then why are you promoting them?

InactiveWhether or not anyone agrees or disagrees with casinosca, one thing is clear–for whatever reason, he wants to needle and toy at Lou.
Were this not the case, he’d use a bit more discretion and respect by replying to his original post which he knows darned well had been moved to the Free-for-All section.
Not the best way to get his point across, to be sure.

InactiveInstead of trying to remodel a well working community, why don’t you start a site that lets affiliates rank programs?
That seems to be what you want to see.
Or do you want to dictate who thinks what of which program?
We never agree on these things here. What converts for you may not convert for the next guy. A payment system that is useful for you may be the pits for the next guy. We have huge threads arguing pros and cons of programs and systems. Do you want to step in and judge who is right and who is wrong?
Take CPA. Are you going to judge who is fraudulent, the affiliate or the program? Will you “degrade” a program that decides to tighten CPA rules? Or, since CPA has been a matter of dispute and abuse for years, will you ban programs that offer it?
Decide who is number one? Number one is the community. It consists of webmasters and affiliate programs. We are marketing partners. We need to work together, not against each other. You see this as two opposing camps? You want to pitch business partners against each other?
In my view, that is not the function of CAP. The purpose of CAP is education about the affiliate industry, exchange of experiences and ideas, facilitation of communication between affiliates and programs, mutual support and problem resolution.
CAP does extremely well on all these levels, and if it didn’t I surely would not have donated my time to it for all these years.

vladcizsolMemberThanks for the support guys :kisser:
This imbecile posted his “response” in multiple places. Funny how he likes to post in the middle of the night or on weekends so that his poison causes the most effect before I can see it or repond to it. Here’s what I wrote in another one of his threads:
Quote:= So I suggest you own me the apology:Hardly. You flame CAP over a holiday weekend and make the case that we arent serving affiliates and webmasters and you want an apology from me?
We charge affiliates nothing for access to CAP.
We charge affiliates NOTHING for CAP Springbreak or CAPEuro.
We charge affiliates nothing for CAP Magazine or the Springbreak Yearbook.
We have helped hundreds of new affiliates learn about and prosper in this industry. I am an affiliate webmaster much as everyone else. Had I been TRULY greedy I would not have set up a resource to educate my competitors. Instead I always believed in the idea that we could all make MORE money together then we could as lone wolves.
We have assisted many affiliates to be paid commissions they were due when called upon.
We have taken the lead on many important issues that impact affiliates and have always made a sterling effort to protect and promote affiliate interests.
Am I going to apologize to you for listing a program YOU dont approve of? Dream on.
“Casinosca” membership at CAP is a privelage, not a right. Until I receive an apology from YOU your free membership is suspended.

InactiveProfessor, Dominique and CAP I agree and support. Indeed CAP has done a insurmountable amount of great things. Having Cpays certified does not give me second thoughts. I would gladly pay to have the privilege of being here.
Professor owes no one an apology on the contrary perhaps a big THANK YOU!

InactiveWay to go, Professor :clapper: :chearlead
Have to keep the lines of communication open at all costs. Otherwise, how will we learn of new developments or even have a prayer of making a difference.

Inactivesimple enuff answer to that one.. if you don’t like it.. leave

If CAP isn’t what you’re after, look elsewhere, or as someone (Dom?) suggested, start your own site.. I’ll be damned if I’ll waste my time perusing or critisizing a site I don’t care for… great big internet out there.. go find it
