Well, I missed every single party, and the whole first day, and still Amsterdam rocks!
Thanks to all the folks who signed the two humongous get well cards for me! What really happened was that I had an totally unexpected gallstone attack – and the incredible pain caused my Asthma to act up too. So, yes it was me who was wheeled out to the ambulance, but, no, it wasn’t because of excess partying!
I can’t tell you how touched I was by those get well cards – sometimes this industry can really feel like a big community.
I am not sure what started the rumor that I was in Rome – haven’t been there in decades. I was in Munich prior to CAC, enjoying great sunshiny weather.
There are a lot of promised meetings I wasn’t able to keep because my health played this dirty trick on me. Please, everyone who missed me because of this, pm me and we’ll chat some other way.
You can be certain to catch up with me in Miami also – there will be tons of time there to network and just chat, that’s what Miami is all about. I’ll be sure to be there, and I will definitely be available to catch up on lost time.
I will also be in Vegas, and you can bet that next year in Amsterdam I will visit a coffee shop and if it is the last thing I do. Unbelievable how this fails to happen time and time again.
Again, thanks for all your kind words – I am sure they contributed a lot to my very speedy recovery.
