turbooddsMemberI am now officially asking CAP management. Will you do anything regarding this thief?
He refused to contact or make a statement regarding this matter.
I think he needs to be disciplined. He is benefiting as a webmaster bein a member of CAP and GPWA while he steals other members content.
I am now asking CAP to protect me…
Please do something.

InactiveWe have to allow a little time for him to respond I think – and fix things.
I have little tolerance for thieves myself.
What does slotto say?

turbooddsMemberThanks for the note back.
He has been online here today and also GPWA. NO official reply from him here nor there.
Sloto asked me not to make refrence to them and their actions, only to say they would handle it. So i cant comment to much on what they have done…
Can you please message him to make a public post. I want his full co operation.
Thanks again.

InactiveHave you filed a complaint with google and his hosting company?
I usually have excellent success with the combination of contacting affiliate programs, google and the hosting company.

SCOOTER1969MemberHello,
GFPC asked me to post here about Sloto’Cash position with this situation.“Sloto’Cash do not support this type of practice as stated on the other gambling forum you have posted as well.
As per my email, we had took action about this issue and disciplinary measurement was taken in place on Friday last week.”We have contacted the affiliate again to be in touch with GFPC to apologize to him directly.
Cheers,
Connie

arturs.vitolsMemberGFPC, with Sloto’s statement in mind, would you like me to contact the members of the CAP team that can help or do you feel this is taken care of?

turbooddsMemberThanks Connie,
Well a couple of hours ban is better than nothing. But i am afraid he got off easy.
Here is a content thief who steals from webmasters and is allowed to continue working with affiliate programs.. Just upset about that.Greggor – Yes please. I have waited for his reply. Nothing. Nothing yet on all fronts
Cheers

KolyaMemberWe have temporarily frozen the account of Alphonso69. We at CAP take stolen content very seriously and wish to help resolve this issue.
We can not pass judgment on the issue at this time as we do not have the resources to check who had the content live first and we understand that sometimes there are misunderstandings.
We do ask Alphonso69 to come forward and address the accusation in a professional manner. Hopefully the issue can be resolved between the two individuals, if not, we will ask the ISPs to step in and handle the situation.
Thank you.

turbooddsMemberThank you CAP admin I appreciate that. I understand your position and respect it fully.
Stolen content is a serious issue and one that happens daily in our industry. I jut feel it needs to be addressed and not avoided.
I do have the information of the writer who wrote the content herself and i communicated the copy with her as soon as i found out.
She did verify it was a direct match and a full cut and paste job from her work which was on my site.
My article was posted sometime in November while his was posted December 3rd.
I am fully prepared to offer any information and communications at your request to handle this matter anytime it is required.
I have all documentation and payment emails for this work I bought from the writer and will inform her to post her as proof in case needed.
My goal is only to have accountability – just want a public apology from the guy and assurance it will not happen again to myself or other webmasters and fellow affiliates.
We all work hard to better our sites, and content theft only hinders our industry.
Best

arturs.vitolsMemberI can’t get involved here, but I wanted to ask a question. Is it possible the writer sold the article to another affiliate and that the other affiliate posted it to their site in good conscience?
December 15, 2009 at 4:22 pm #806596
turbooddsMemberHey mate,
No not at all…
Just a couple of hours ago, with his frozen account here and a temp ban on his affiliate account and various pressures from other members and various other (possible black hat techniques) he finally emailed me.
He claimed it was an error and he did not pay attention to the copyright aspect of cutting and pasting my material on his site.
His email is posted on GPWA in this thread here.
He then emailed me saying he would post his apology publicly there about his unetihcal behaviour and apolgized. Just waiting on it..
I have asked the GPWA to vote on his private membership status to be revolked. In my email to him i asked for him to volunteer his ban for 3 months and reflect on being a more ethical webmaster.
He has removed the stolen content, he has somewhat admitted to theft, and just waiting for him to post publicly his side.
Well have to see what he says and consider if this is the kind of member we want in our community in the future.

InactiveYou need to do this:
Go to waybackmachine and get copies of when the article appeared on each site.
Submit google complaint – they will actually reply with a form letter guiding you through the proper channnels.
Go to whois and find out who the host is
Mail the same complaint to the host and ask for removal of the site.
