So, technically, not a police state………
But the weapons they use to prevent free speech are just as powerful – maybe more powerful.
The first weapon was shame – if you said anything anti-bush you were labelled unpatriotic. It’s grown much more sinister than that.
The electorial machine that got Bush into the whitehouse by breaking laws have tricks up their sleeves the likes of which you would never expect to see in a ‘free country’.There was a time when a president was caught illegally taping his opposition………..he was impeached. And, boy, did it get a lot of press! And Clinton’s playing with the intern got more press. Hell – Janet Jackson’s tit got more press coverage than the attrocities the Bush regime is committing upon America and the world.
