InactiveWell, some 80 year olds drive perfectly fine, I sit in the passenger seat of a car driven by a 79 year old all the time and I doubt his 80th birthday will magically change his competence. I do agree that older people need to pass driving tests though. Just like young folks, they have varying capacities.
On the other hand, your PAP post is hilarious. Especially the announcement of their presence at the Vegas conference. :roflmao:

Guestmy grandfather drove great ….. never a dent.. wreck or whathaveyou …. until he finally gave it up at around the age of 90.
agree with Dom. don’t know where I’ll be at that age …..but would like to think i at least have the right to prove myself.
not saying there shouldn’t be tests. just saying …. lets test … not condemn.

InactiveI agree Greg.
I know 12-year-olds who could drive themselves to the store but they are not allowed to drive by law (test or no test) . It should be the same with old folks – An 80-year-old driving 2 tons of steel 60mph is an awful combination any way you look at it. Put this person in a 5-oclock traffic on a six-lane road in any metro area and it’s just…
As you can tell I have had my fair share of near-misses with old folks on the road
