Just wanted to share an e-mail we received today from an affiliate named Martin regarding this matter. Very glad to see we were able to come together as a community and keep affiliates safe!
Just thought I should let you know. i was contacted by Ly Duc Trong today. Just after reading your article about the hacker. He contacted me via Skype asking me to add his contact details. I quickly blocked him & reported itas abuse to Skype. Thanks for that article otherwise I may have fallen so easily to the hacking.

Thank you very much for posting this info Warren..I assume affiliate managers have already done this, but they should ensure that a ‘red flag’ goes up whenever they see his account details entered anywhere in the system…
( unless he has multiple bank accounts, I bet he does )This guy contacted me via Skype on Friday 22nd June. He gave his telephone number +841686824686. His email address is [email protected]. I immediately blocked him. However, I think he’s also tried to hack into my mobile phone and as a result I have had to get anti-virus software for the phone too. Can anything be done about this guy? Get him arrested?
There’s a simple solution, something a big company like Blizzard Entertainment has used now for over a year (Blizzard Entertainment has created the games World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Warcraft ).
Simply after registration, your name and country become grayed out. In order to change your country you have to write a ticket. And you cannot change your name once you have written it down. If you need to discuss it you have to talk to them again.
So simply if an affiliate wants to switch a payment method a) has to be approved by the program and b) has to be done only once he contacts them. This could have been easily avoided if programs payed attention. I mean who changes their name plus payment method… to something Vietnamese.
