if your traffic is targeted for a certain niche (and one with money making potential such as gambling) than you are better off sending to AFF programs. Adsense profits are marginal at best unless you have hoards of traffic. (and if you have an abundance of targeted traffic you DONT want to send it to Adsense)

Which is more profitable in the long term ? Or is there any other better choice ?

    Think of it this way,

Ad-sense works by including google into the mix, matching your people with products other people are selling …. right?
    1) It’s unlikely that it will pay as well as casino ads
    2) the advertiser is expecting to make a profit
    3) Google is a 3rd party that will take the lions share of the remainder …

So how on earth do you expect Google Ad-sense to pay more than going direct ?

I guess if the traffic is junky Indian sub-continent click-fest traffic that would never really be buying ANYTHING then at least Google ad-sense pays you something for it … albeit not much

However, if you have content, good partners, and genuine clicks from people intersted in your site then actually selling something pays a lot more.

My own experience (of rev-share) is that this year we divide our revenue generated by the number of page impressions then I get a $USD figure way, way, way above any adsense numbers that I’ve ever seen, perhaps 20x, 30x 50x bigger.

The only people getting rich on adsense are 1% of Advertisers (who target well and know how to sell) and Google who take a BIG slice of all the action.

Surely a hard question since there are many affiliates making money from different programs.
I think it depends a lot of kind of traffic and niche. I own one website about ringtones and adsense doesn’t pay enough to cover two CPA deals.

I’m getting around 600 to 800 clicks a day on that niche and the money (adsense) seems a joke. To advertise against those words You should paying around $2 and up (Google results) and the most i can get on my clicks is around $0,01/$0,03. I should be making a ton on Adsense.

Every webmaster is complaining about adsense earnings nowadays. Some are saying about economic crisis, but….
On the other hand, i need around 300 clicks to convert 3 to 6 CPA deals a day. So, i’m changing the location of adsense and CPA on the page. The ads with less revenue goes way down and CPA up (also, You can open those ads on a new window and keep visitors).

And, my other sites about traveling, health, electronics seems the same.

Note, this is my experience, there are so many webmasters making money from Adsense and others on CPA. First all, You need test and see what fits your website.

    Good Luck :hattip:

What about Casino Affiliate revenue nowadays ? Most of you have better or worse revenue after the economic crisis ?

Adsense was much more profitable a few years ago. On my retail site I used to make monthly what it takes 3 months now and traffic has increased over the years. I think Google is not paying what it once did. I noticed the drop in revs when they went to bidding on (Adword) keywords.

I think it depends on what affiliate programs are on the site, some retail programs only pay 8% and Adsense would pay more in most cases.

Also it is doubtful someone would earn more with Adsense than what (gambling) affiliate programs earn. However, the good think about Adsense earnings (compared to gambling) is they’re just sent on time every time. No song and dance and no chasing.

Google must be the only company in the world that refuses to disclose to its partners the commission percentage they pay out.

For all you know they could be earning $20 a click and they’ll give you 2 cents.

Affiliate programs are much better. Only use adsense if you cant find an affiliate program or a regular advertiser. The program is a joke.

I am interested in how we can find an advertiser ourselves . I am tired of the middle men.

:Cry:It is always strange to see so many ads claiming earning big with adsense on the internet.

No brainer IMO: affiliate programs. One decent player could be worth months of adsense. Adsense might give you a regular building income, but long term if your traffic is clicking on adsense ads, some at least must be interested in casinos, so grab ’em yourself.

And just think, for $0.20 you could let a $100k whale slip through your hands!

If not, and you have decent traffic, then shout – I’ll buy a ad ;)

You cant use Adsense on gambling sites.

For the record I think Adsense is great and would choose that over many affiliate programmes on non casino sites.

There are plenty of people making alot of money with Adsense. My effort was only part time and doing very well indeed, especially given the site traffic related to a celebrity and not money traffic.
