InactiveI am a firm believer in getting educated in forums.
Everything is current and pertinent and things change in a jiffy in this biz.
Forums Like CAP and some of the larger SEO forums have so much reading material it’s mind boggling.

Professor – would you recommend these products to affiliates who’ve had a couple of years in the industry too ?
I’m sure it’s good for newbies – but I don’t need to be convinced that people buy online, or what affiliate programs are (that “little known secret”)
Or are there different options then ?
I had a quick scan through his site and although I know that I’m reading sales blurb I did find the style a bit .. well .. snake oil salesman like.
Perhaps I’m just allergic to high pressure sales technique ..
:tounge2:So – is there anything that takes it on past the first few years ?
Anyone found something useful ?:lookaroun

vladcizsolMemberIn my oppinion eBooks ARE for newbies Gooner. What you or I take for granted as common knowledge was acquired after having spent years marketing online.
Regarding that vendors sales page, remember he is an American Author and yes the sales style reflects that. Americans are NOT subtle. That’s one of the challenges US affiliates and publishers face when approaching the European or Asian markets, we need to learn to tone things down and take a less “Used Car Salesman” approach when writing ad copy.

InactiveI find the affiliate oriented magazines useful. Usually I find at least one thing in each that makes it worthwhile having read it, and they do get my idea juices flowing. Plus they are current.
I mean actual hardcopy magazines, like the CAP magazine, APCW, Revenue, Website magazine and the like.
Agreed, for newbies the affiliate books can be educational, but they should also definitely read the Google webmaster guidelines.
