I think you will find with all the turmoil over the last few months that affiliate managers are most likely feeling a little gun shy. :shooter:

Many have had to endure irate affiliates in regards to not accepting US players and depending on how management has handled the transition affiliate managers have taken the brunt of the situation. (btw that is part of an affiliate managers job ;) ) :cuss:

Also many affiliate managers are out of a job or under ever increasing pressure to obtain high levels of growth from smaller markets.

Just an idea as to why AMs might have been shy lately. Any other ideas?

That comment is exactly why I would think they’d be here chatting even more?

I think for the most part Affiliate Managers are very active in their own forums providing information pertaining specifically to their own programs.

There is a lot going on with pretty much everyone at the moment and I agree with Roo, us Affiliate Managers are acting as the “glue” so to speak at the moment, bringing everything you guys need to our managers and acting on as much of it as we can in short periods of time :)

I’m fairly confident that it’s nothing personal and not that we all still don’t love you guys! :)

    Thoughts from other Managers?

    Cheers

“Thoughts from other managers?”…… Trish – i am glad you have the time for thoughts…. LOL

Definitely nothing personal!!! I think we are all a little crazy due to recent events as well as upcoming holiday season… i know i am off back to South Africa for 4 weeks in 3 weeks time and there is a mountain of work to be done before i am allowed to set foot on a plane……

That said, i will still be available from SA….as there is no real rest for the wicked – just a different environment to set up ones lap top :)

I dont think there is any need to worry about our fellow Affiliate Managers…they will come out of their little black holes soon enough….especially if there is :capmiami: on offer

I haven’t thought anything of the managers not posting, they all seem to be answering questions and taking care of our concerns when it is called for, that keeps me happy.

Yes I am sure there is a heavy work load right now, I know I have a huge one myself trying to keep up with these changes.

I have spoken to a few programs regarding this topic last week and what I heard basically echoed what Roo said. Everyone has been effected by the legislation and many have seen major staff reductions. This places a higher work load on “survivors” and they are quite busy.

When things stabilize I am sure everyone will have more time and opportunity to post and get involved in general conversations.

Hi Guys – I guess I’m one of the culprits that has dropped off as well, but as you have already mentioned – since the US was shut off – we’ve been really busy helping our US based affiliates continue thier non US business, as well as reaching into a smaller market.

Skill Gaming is still a very small part of the overall online gaming industry but is by no means dead! All my affiliates receive my unidvided attention and we strive to support our existing members 110% as well as work on relationship building to attract new affiliate interest in our program.

That being said – I guess everyone is a little crazy with the countdown to Xmas holidays as well. :santa2:
Rest assured though if you make contact you will get a responce! :-)
In the meantime – keep the posts going, we like to hear your feedback and suggestions on improving the affiliate model.

Yes, I suppose this is true.

I wasn’t saying Managers don’t get back to me privately, cause they do, I was was just reading down in their sections and notice alot of unanswered posts.

I’m sure like you said when things settle it’ll be a very busy place.

I agree with Trish and I do apologise if I haven’t been as active as I should – I guess lots of things are changing for us after the gambling act.

Hope to see you guys at ICE and CAP Euro!

    Best,

    Hi There,

Even though our Poker room did not consist on that many US players the workload and therefore pressure has been increased. We are noticing that major online poker rooms are now more facing towards Europe and are now ‘fishing in our ocean’.

The competitiveness increases by the day and it is very difficult to compete against huge marketing budgets.

This affects my job as well and due all new developments I have less time to be active on forums like these. I now literally create ‘space’ in my busy schedule to read all the post, answer all queries and comment on interesting threads.

    See you at CAP!

    Hello Everyone,

I am a culprit as well. I had worked at OasisCasino.com/OasisAffiliates.com for 10 years to be purchased by Betcorp in July, then Betcorp and Oasis were just resold to Bodog this Month. It has been a rough Spring, Summer and Fall! But I am now with a new Affiliate Network at GamingRiches.com promoting a new Bingo site Bingoheart.com.

Check us out if you have a chance!
