Interesting question too. Anyone has an idea? Could differ from program to program.
Just to input my 2 cents, this is exactly why we do not use bonus codes..
A lot of players are lost through bonus codes from either entering them incorrectly or even not entering them at all..
Better to be safe than sorry and make sure that even if the player screws something up that the player will still be tagged to your account.
