I need some clarification about CAC. I visited the site but am still confused about some things.
Is the conference and the convention two different things? If so, if I don’t pay for the conference, can I still go to the convention?
My interpretation:
conference = attending seminars and listening to guest speakers. (i know you must pay to do this)
convention = walking around visiting a bunch of booths sponsored by gaming companies. (is this free?)The reason I ask is that I’m not really interested in attending any seminars. I just want to meet some of the affiliate managers.

Seriously, i have only been to the Amsterdam conf. – making my way to the Vegas one fir the first time.

August 8, 2005 at 12:46 pm #670415AnonymousInactiveSo basically, I can’t visit the booths unless I pay the $600?
August 8, 2005 at 1:39 pm #670416AnonymousInactiveYes, the booths are inside the conference area.
August 8, 2005 at 1:53 pm #670417AnonymousInactiveAs a 1st year affiliate, I would love to go but the cost is a bit high for us right now.
Maybe I should ask my top 4 sites if they want to contribute to my trip…

That’s a very good idea. It is in their interest that you keep learning about stuff….and it is good if you guys meet.

If nothing else you will get a vacation and for many it is well deserved!
August 10, 2005 at 11:09 pm #670593AnonymousInactiveFor affiliates, I refer you to a thread from a previous event:
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/showthread.php?t=3556&page=1&pp=15
I am expecting 150 casino affiliates minimum at this event. These are record numbers. We had 120 casino affiliates in Amsterdam 6 months ago. Many of your colleagues will be there.
Please note that we have more exhibitors than ever before. The casinos and sportsbooks have passes for affiliates. Its their option, and some don’t exercise this option.
If you are an affiliate that performs, really performs….then by all means you should be invited by your top ranking affiliate program. If they aren’t inviting you to this event and sponsoring a pass for you….then that says alot to me and should say alot to you…..you bring them serious $$ every month, and a small investment in your pass for the event would bring both them and you more $$. I see no reason why an affiliate manager could not make the investment in the affiliate.
But again, the affiliate HAS to be a serious performer…..not one that makes no $$ and types on bulletin boards all day long. No affiliate manager would invest in someone that doesn’t already have a track record.
If you are a new affiliate, then this is an investment. We’ve designed this so that the total investment (pass, hotel room and airfare) should be less than or close to $1000. It is a business investment, as your portal is your business. You should get a fast return on investment, and subsequently, become a performing affiliate that is invited to future events by the affiliate programs you met at the CAC2005 Las Vegas show.
Hope this helps.
