InactiveIt’s your same player moving through the casinos. So you are not risking the proceeds you could be getting from additional visitors, it’s still that one player you sent to that one casino.
Not as bad as it looks. That way players you sent previously play longer and may help iron out a winner.
And you’re still confining the damage to the players you were willing to send in the first place, while all your new site visitors are going where you chose for them.
This all makes clear sense in my head, but I am not sure I am expresing myself clearly here.

InactiveYes. You are clear

I do not worry much about bundling anymore, but I know that others do and when I noticed this – I thought I would make mention of it.
I care less about bundling any more, personally (I used to). Now – I’d rather give my sufers options than have them leave for another affiliate

InactiveI hate it with a passion and unless I already have a longstanding relationship with a program I will not advertise more than one casino from a bundling program.
And in the cases where I have continued to let all casinos run, I keep losing the income for entire months over and over again.
These casinos are actually not profitable for me – they are not paying for the spots they have the way others do.
If a spot normally yields $2000 amonth, and I place some bundling casinos there and lose a few months of income, they would really have to perform well above average to make up for the losses by year end.

InactiveI used to feel like Dominique, but now I have found (at least for me) that;
More Programs + More Players = More Money. As far as winners go… you gotta have em, like it or not… but the vast majority of folks do not walk away winners.

InactiveI carry a lot of programs for other reasons – so I am continually free to speak my mind because I depend on no one program. This is smart for other reasons too, and also, if you have the type site that has repeat visitors, you need to offer a variety.
But I think you missed the “bundling”.
A program is said to “bundle” when they throw all the casinos in one pot, and when you have a winner in one of them, your earnings with all of the casinos get wiped out.
Other programs practice “ring fencing”, where if you have a winner in one casino, it does not affect the income you have with the other casinos in this program.
When a program ring fences, I freely advertise all the casinos they carry.
When it bundles, it is financially wisest to only carry one casino from that group so to minimize losses.

InactiveI was talking about “bundling”.
Referback is the first bundling program comes to mind.
I had one player two months ago win $8500 in AcesHigh, but I also had a bunch of players that lost a total of $65000 in the other casinos at RB that month…

InactiveAs far as I know, Referback doesn’t bundle. Losses with one casino do not affect earnings with another.

I may have misunderstood that one, but RB don’t bundle.
Myself, I am like Dom in that I tolerate it only if I know the program really well, but even then the minute I get a winner who sends me negative, I remove all those properties from hot-spots for the rest of the month.
I don’t tolerate negative carry-over at all, and I’m not a fan of bundling, but sometimes a good casino is a good casino and I’ll promote it anyway, subject to the above rule.

Yep, that’s exactly how I feel about it.

Inactive…but RB don’t bundle
I guess we are talking about different things here, cuz I’m sure they do with me. A win in one casino effects the bottom line from all casinos just like I described above.

InactiveWhat about when the bundling program cross-markets and you get sign-ups from casinos in their program that you don’t list – even though you only market the one casino.
Seems to me you’re still a victim of bundling.

YEP – That was the point of my whole post!

InactiveThat’s how I see that, ntaus.
I see it as a positive.

GuestHi,
take it from someone with a little experience, the bundling will come back to bite you in the ass.
Brightshare has all but become dimshare with me due to bundling. Almost never fails that i get a winner wiping out any income from the other casinos.
…. this month I think I made $200 because of the above.
I have moved all their properties from any superior spots because as I now have a good sized player base with them, it doesn’t really matter if I only promote one casino because i have enough players at the others to still make them look unattractive.
they were at one time, needless to say, occupying some good spots and my predicument is my pay-off for choosing to promote a program that bundles.
‘
its been a nightmare for me and I wish I’d never heard of them … all due to bundling.May 3, 2006 at 10:42 am #690838Anonymous
InactiveRoxy Affiliates announced that they will bundle Vegas Splendido and Roxy Palace. Does IOG Casinos bundle (couldn´t find info about that on their site).
I know this could have gone in the respective forums but as this thread is up I may as well ask here.
Oh, and would you rather promote Roxy Palace or Vegas Splendido?
