InactiveIn the last 6 months this industry has taken a step back about 10 years. It’s disgusting the way programs are cheating affiliates – do they not realise we pour blood, sweat and tears working on our sites and trying to earn a crust?
It’s difficult knowing who to trust these days but I’m clearing out all the dead wood. There’s no point promoting someone that doesn’t appreciate the efforts. If it wasn’t for affiliates, most of the gaming sites online today just wouldn’t exist.
Wait and see how many start to really hurt after we all pull links for their rogue antics. After a time it will tell on them.
Love the idea of a blacklist site we can all contribute to!

Yup that’s exactly what it feels like, makes you wonder if some of the seeds of dissent were sown here deliberately by certain programmes using the logic of ‘desperate times call for desperate measures’…

InactiveWell, I am holding the domain, and I can arrange to have a site with proper graphics created, but I don’t want to run it, I have too little time as is.
So if you guys want this off the ground, you need to volunteer things like writing etc.

pennyslotsMemberIs there no Affiliate Manager from winunited or BoyleSport who has any thing to say about this? I would love to hear how they view this situation.
I like the blacklisted domain idea – but just afraid that we all have problems with one company or another and we will end up blacklisting all the Casinos! Surely there would need to be a way to bring grievances to the table and give the Casinos a chance to solve them? And then, if they dont do anything about them, have a definitive blacklisted list.
Just a thought.

InactiveHi,
I brought the idea of starting a website just for blacklisted casinos..etc. up over at GPWA and my own site GAP, and no one wanted anything to do with it. So i am happy to see its a topic of discussion here! I am in when this gets on the ball.

aspnetguywinsMemberUnfortunately this is second issue I had with aff networks
First was with interwetten closing my account

Excellent idea you have.Only thing I would like is for domain name to include sports betting too.
Something like affiliateblacklist.net and so….

InactiveWe need to be a little careful about this kind of thing. I’ve heard some bad things about Win United but BlueSQ’s transition to NetRefer shouldn’t have resulted in anyone losing players.
I’ve only recently started promoting Boylesports but they have a presence on CAP and can answer for themselves. I would like to think they wouldn’t lose players in the transition either.

That would not happen, there would be strict guidelines as to what is rogue, it has to be a severe infraction, such as breach of contract.
Late payments or clashing personalities and all of that would not qualify for roguedom, late payments are often out of the casino’s control in this political climate, and getting into arguments with people is a personal matter.
Breach of contract however is a serious matter and should never be tolerated.

burundiMemberI love the idea, and I would be willing to throw in some cash each month to help pay for writers etc.
Id also throw in to help on the design..Affiliates can no longer tolerate this kind of activity, these programs need to learn whats up, period.

electroboyMemberIt really is unfortunate that many of these affiliates, go by the wayside, yes it would be nice to be able to have a blacklist option, Yes it easy to change affiliate links but as many know, sometimes simple changes can affect site rankings, so besides getting screwed by the affiliate, sometimes its more than that, its site rankings also.
I just recently had to change many links on a site not casino related and after my site was ranking well it is now buried down a few pages.

DeeplayMemberI am following this thread and I cannot comment on the affiliate programs mentioned, but with regards to your idea about a site blacklisting rogue affiliate programs I think it is a good idea. We are new in town, but all of us at Royal Apollo Affiliates worked in the industry for a few years now, and I have to agree that there are many new players in the industry who are looking for quick profit and not looking to build long term relationships with affiliates.I just don’t understand how these people run their business.. for me, I look several times on each post I make here (didn’t get a chance to make many yet…
)- because your opinion matters to me (am always dreading too many typos as well
)..
So [FONT="]Dominique, we’ll contribute $500 for the new site.

yamsterMemberJust wondering if there was any resolution on this issue. I (naively) would think that any big brand program doing this type of thing would lose considerable business overnight. I for one would never consider continuing to send players to a group that did something like this.
I recently started working with Blue Sq and would be very disappointed and surprised to hear that they didn’t migrate players over to the new system in good faith.

InactiveThere is a lot of shenanigans that go on in this industry, and not all that much can be done about it, except bellyache. Contracts can be changed (we’ve seen it many times), fees and chargebacks can be levied (do we really ever know how accurate these are ?), and players can be re-signed up with different deals, unbenounced to us, with our tracking lost forever.
Seriously, how on earth are you ever can prove any of this, and what legal ramifications do you really have, when the Operator is down in Costa Rica, for example ??

RobbieMemberI think the idea for a blacklist/arbitrator is an excellent idea, however, there are some important points that would need to be established.
Conflict of interest
There site should not be used to promote anything. It should be solely independant.
This way, it would guarantee no conflicts of interest occur.Charter
There should be clearly defined criteria as to what puts an affiliate program on the blacklist.
This way, it wouldn’t be open to abuse. Ideally, the criteria would be debated in an open forum between affiliates and operators. In an ideal world the site would be run by someone was neither an affiliate nor an operator, however, considering it would essentially be a loss making enterprise, I guess it would be quite difficult to get someone to do it!
Theres a lot to consider.
