bosshoggsMemberHey Shotgun Pete-
First, I applaud you for being so candid and sharing your experience & concerns in the forums.
Secondly, I have to admit, I’m pretty astounded that this would occur. When it comes to the Affiliate & Program Relationship, there needs to be a reciprocal dynamic for things to work and for both parties to have a successful run….
On the affiliate’s side… I think that folks need to be honest and as transparent as possible when it comes to traffic sources. At the end of the day, to do all that’s possible to generate quality players.
However, on the program’s side… Affiliate Managers should view their affiliate partners as the lifeblood for their program’s success. Bottom line. Ultimately, Affiliate Managers should be the biggest advocate to their partners’ success at all times, and at the end of the day, all parties will benefit.
Just my two cents…

InactiveThose link changes P’d me off a long time ago. So I switched to link redirects. But I do it per domain.
I tried centralizing them all to one domain, but then I ran into those cheap web hosting sites unceremoniously shutting off my sites without telling me when I used too many resources. So if the wrong host went down, I would effectively be out of business until I could fix it.
One time I was on vacation in Mexico and 1/3 of my sites went down.
Argghh factor 10.AFF Managers helping me out is actually a new concept for me.
I don’t rely upon anyone but myself.I fragment and diversify so that if one affiliate program ‘sucks pond water’ or ‘goes belly up’ I have plenty others to fill-in.
F ’em all when they F me
(sorry – bad day – friday)
