I just saw this in the Action Online terms and conditions at Income Access:
“A Referred Player who has not played on the Company’s online gambling site for 120 consecutive days will cease to be Referred Player of the Affiliate.”
I also see that was in the old terms at the Action Online site as well. Are there other affiliate programs that do this?
June 23, 2004 at 12:43 am #650794AnonymousGuestI don’t know but I know I will never be promoting action online. That policy doesn’t carry over to all the income access casinos and poker rooms does it? anyone know?
June 23, 2004 at 1:06 am #650797AnonymousInactiveI checked the terms of Absolute Poker and Lasseter’s at Income Access, and there’s no similar problem. I didn’t check the other casinos, but it’s definitely not applicable across the board at Income Access.
June 23, 2004 at 7:13 am #650812AnonymousGuestcool. shoot I go 3 or more months between places to gamble, especially poker rooms, all the time.
Only a newbie or a fool would snub his nose at that rule. I can say from personal experience that not only do I go that long, but I often will see someone in a poker room literally 9 months or maybe a year later and will ask where they’ve been and they’ll tell me (usually Party  ) and they got discouraged and quit for a while and then when they decided to start playing again, they had come back.
I can’t say for certain how long these people will stay again, as I suspect they are bouncers anyway, but still, I think once you’ve signed somebody that they should stay yours. Especially more so in a niche that has so much less profit potential but yet nearly the same advertising costs as its extremely more profitable cousin (the casino: in case your a little slow today).
this policy, or term, is as tacky as when Party was offering to sell-out our signed guest accounts at their poker room to anybody willing to throw $10 at the player.

June 25, 2004 at 3:46 pm #650949AnonymousInactiveI had an account with Lasseter’s – they deleted it (i don’t play here for a year or more)
on the other hand – I have started to play(to deposit) in a few casinos after 2 years or more.
June 25, 2004 at 4:14 pm #650950AnonymousInactiveI don’t think that Action Online deletes the account. Instead, it sounds like they just don’t pay the affiliate anymore if the player returns after a 120 day absence.
I have several casinos where I’ve played sessions separated by more than a year, even two years in a couple of cases. If I signed up through an affiliate, they deserve a commission on my play.

Lasseters had a complete software change in that time, so that may have something to do with that particular situation.
June 25, 2004 at 5:17 pm #650957AnonymousInactiveI must say I love income access. They are top notch, some casinos pay more than them but I convert so great with them because they are easy to sell. Minimum bets of 1 cent, regulated by goverment these are strong marketing advantages which many casinos lack (I still does not understand people promoting casino on net)
