Guestprograms taking this approach might as well just shoot themselves in the foot.
are you or are you not in the business of providing gambling? that means providing a reasonable means of both accepting deposits and more importantly .. paying!
saying checks aren’t a viable solution is so rediculous! see the posts I’ve created as of late towards that respect!

InactivePart of the Income Acess email regarding Ultimate Bet last Friday:
If you currently have Check as your preferred payment method, you will be required to change to Player Account immediately in order get paid. Please update your Payment Method by logging into your account at http://www.incomeaccess.com. Your January payment will then be deposited directly into your UB Player Account.
We urge you to make this change immediately so that your payment can be sent to you without any delays.
How will this benefit you?
You will now receive your funds immediately into your Player Account.
You will now be able to withdraw your funds at your convenience.
:dafingers
(that is for the last sentence)
So I went into my UB account (which I’ve never used) just to test out the withdrawal screen. This is what I got:
Your customer information was not found in our Cashier system. This can occur if you have never successfully completed a deposit online or over the phone. Please contact Customer Service to complete your request/QUOTE]
The kicker for me is that they just cancelled the December check they said was sent January 15th and are supposedly adding the amount in with January’s. Now I get to start all over with UB’s alleged system for paying US clients.

InactiveI had never made a deposit with Ultimate Bet, and was able to withdraw fine during November and December.
Quick question though…why doesn’t the affiliate commission count as a deposit? – Your commissions should be treated as a deposit not bonus dollars earned.
Also is the email about a minimum deposit from the Cashier or your affiliate manager? – email the affiliate department if it came from the cashier. I’ve made deposits before so it won’t affect myself but it’s got to suck for other affiliates :tooconfus
as always, just my two cents

InactiveI agree with you Geoff that it should count as a deposit.
That message came from the cashier within the UB software. I’ve got an email in to UB right now.
Sounds a lot like BlackJack’s problem though.

InactiveGood news… I just got an email from AP saying “Don’t worry. We will be making sure that the deposit requirement doesn’t apply to our affiliates.”

InactiveSo they’ll not pay an aff by cheque, stick it in a player account, you request a withdrawal from the player account and then they’ll send a cheque.
Interesting way to do business I suppose.

InactiveWhy doesn’t anyone from AP or UB post on here?

InactiveI would much prefer a FedEx delivered check. If all you’re having problems with is deposit, then why not just sign up an Epassporte account, deposit $25 to Epassporte with a Visa Debit card and then $20 to Absolute Poker player account? Your account will have been deposited to, and you’ll have all the cashout options available (well, available to US players).
My experience with Epassporte so far, btw:
After Neteller bailed, I created the Epass account, deposited the $25 with my Visa Debit card (I’m with Regions Bank), and deposited to Absolute Poker. The whole process took less than 15 minutes.
I was able to withdraw from AP to my Epass account after the 48 hours required between deposits / withdraws was up, and I got the cashout to my Epass account within 24 hours.
Now getting the money home might be a bit trickier. I signed up my personal bank account, and they sent the two small amounts. I just got these small amounts today, so it took about two weeks? I should have a Epassporte Visa card on the way through the mail as well, giving me two ways to get my money from Epass to home.
I’m not saying Epass is the future “Neteller”, but I’ve gotta say it’s working, albeit slowly. It’s available at Ultimate Bet, Absolute, Full Tilt and Poker Stars, and that’s the main rooms US poker players have landed, yes?

I spoke with someone who said to leave the Player Account # blank. Just make sure that your Email Address is stated properly. For good measure, I typed in my affiliate login in the Note field at the bottom of the page.

InactiveI was told last night, that checks can still be cut from Player accounts, just not Affiliate accounts. This coming from a “live” cashier. I have an inquiry outstanding still at [email protected].
At this point, I am very leary to start using ePassporte, or any other eWallet for that matter. I’d rather see a check, even if it is 1 month out.
