Bernie who is the registrar ?
I am with a few and I can tell you some registrars are
badly designed and have slower redirects than others
… this is a factor to consider.If I understood you correctly, yes what you suggested
seems fine to me.I am using Godaddy.

I have some with GoDaddy,
In the past their redirects were horrendously slow … they have
gotten better, not sure if its just me but I find their redirect
slower than lets say buydomains.com.I like buydomains because they have counters on the redirects
another consideration to take into account.I like godaddy to renew domains for many years at a time
cheaply.
