InactiveAt some point, after elections, there will be a movement to look at internet gambling taxation, as a way to help dent the enormous deficits that we currently are dealing with. This is a no-brainer for sure. It is not a politically favorable move right now, prior to elections, and that is why it is not being pursued. However, regulation and taxation of online gambling will bring about Las Vegas entities into the fold, who in my opinion, will be less apt to rely on Affiliates for advertising. Regulation and taxation could be the deathknell (long-term), of the affiliate. For me, from a business self-preservation standpoint, I would hope things stay the way they are for as long as possible, even though the current climate is far from desirable.

InactiveI would think Vegas will use every conceivable means to make a big splash, and that includes affiliates for sure.
Most all online businesses rely on affiliates, and the Vegas guys are no fools. Why would they not use every advertising venue available? The more exposure the merrier, every business knows that.

InactiveThe differemce here, Dominique, is that the Vegas Casinos already have major brand name recognition, whereas international casinos/poker rooms do not. In a best case scenario, I would expect that Affiliate rev %’s will be significantly lower, than what we have today. Why would a big casino want to share 30 % of its proceeds with affiliates ? That is something that is surely foreign to them now, and my guess, is that it would not be easy for them to adopt such a practice. I can only hope that I am wrong here.
