InactiveDid I read the details correctly though, that you get $200 “now” and $200 later, but you only get $200 “now” when your player makes his 2nd deposit? And then you get the second $200 if he’s still active after 5 months. So what happens if he deposits $500, loses it, but doesn’t re-deposit? The affilate earns nothing?
I could be completely wrong but this is how I read it.March 2, 2005 at 2:34 pm #662230Anonymous
InactiveThat’s exactly what I thought when I read the terms. A deposit of $500 will give you nothing. 2 deposits of $20 will give you $200.

InactiveHmmm. Interesting payment model. Maybe someone has stats on what percentage of players make a 2nd deposit and could run some projections based on that?

Say you get a thousand people to sign up and deposit 20 bucks … each month for the next five… that would cost me $20,000 on an initial deposit and $20,000 each for the following four months.
Over the five months it would cost me $100,000 to have 1000 players deposit 20 bucks each month. My total earnings would be $200,000 on the first deposit and $200,000 on the five month active status.
Wow my total earnings would be $400,000 hmmmm thats a $300,000 profit in just five months! I think I am off to read the terms – and to find out if their is a minimum deposit required.

I could be completely wrong but this is how I read it.Must admit i was quite tempted by this initially but am i right in thinking that if they only make one deposit, you don’t qualify for the CPA at all? I guess its there to weed out bonus players if that’s the case.
Cheers

InactiveHi All
Glad that you’re excited about the CPA!
Most players go on to make a second purchase so projections should look good.
Many players that make a single purchase also make smaller purchases than used in the above hypothetical examples. The CPA option has been introduced as an alternative payment model for webmasters that would like to use it.
The idea behind this is not to open a doorway for abuse to us or our clients!
We will be monitoring this and any CPA abuse will be dealt with.
Any Affiliate trying to abuse the new CPA model will be penalised. That having been said it is a great way to get some cash upfront and maybe a surprise kicker down the road.
Why not try it out for awhile and see how it goes.
You always have the option to go back to casino rev-share!Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks.

InactiveHello FA Operations, if the same player played at Royal Vegas, then Vegas Palm, I will get 1 commission or 2 commission?
March 11, 2005 at 7:51 pm #662803Anonymous
InactiveRoyal Vegas certainly does have a unique CPA option – but I honestly think this could pay off big time for web masters promoting RV. I have really been pushing RV on my sites lately, so it will be interesting to see what percentage of my players make a second deposit, and what percentage stay active for 5 months. I think Prima is a great place to play poker – so I’m gambling that my players do to! One question though – how does RV determine if a player is still active or not?
