I charge about $20 for about 250 word news articles. Worth is of course a matter of perspective though.

I read something about 300 word articles being worth $25? Do affiliate webmasters here buy articles like that for $25?

For example, how much would it typically be worth to write a simple 300 to 400 word summary article of a random slot machine plus a high quality photoshop screenshot of the game with your custom website watermark URL on it?

For branding purposes, a photoshop image watermarked with a logo or url would fit nicely into a review of that length. Providing the review was extremely well written, I would surely call that a fair price – especially for those of us who are photoshop-dumb.

I am sure LadyHoldem writes fantastic content, but I haven’t paid more than $10 for a 500 word article. My content is not as challenging so I can get ghost writers that do not specialize, but DO investigate.

An even better way to go in my opinion is to find a really great stay at home parent type person that’s looking to make some extra cash.. Whether they know about gambling particularly or not. Put them on a decent yet not huge salary, and have them write for you continuously. At first, it won’t be the most grammatically correct stuff, and they won’t know all the odds, or which casino is on which software..

But they’ll learn as they go, and they’ll be super happy to actually be working at home, so they’ll want to do a good job. For the most part, work at home moms put in way more hours than they’re paid for. But that’s a good thing right, because with the extra content, your revenue should increase and later on so can their pay, and your staff.. Now you can give the first writer a bit of a raise, and have her train the new writer.

This is fun, because she’ll probably laugh at the new girls mistakes, not even seeming to notice she used to make them :O.

Hiring people like me is great, if you want something excellent from someone that already knows the industry inside and out. I like to brag that I come prepackaged with web-writing experience, SEO knowledge, college level grammar and English skills, combined with the heart of a gambler.. However.. in the meantime, hiring a loyal person on salary is a super investment. The tricky part is not letting the rest of the affiliate world find out about her and lure her away from you :P.

Half the affiliate industry seems to have dibs on Donna if I ever quit this business :O.

Thanks for the responses, it is good to know that there is some value in doing this. I know I’ve gotten better at writing in terms of grammar, SEO and gambling topics but I don’t really know the entire industry in and out since I don’t go to conferences and follow the news.

How much content do you typically write each day or how much does a hired person write each day? What kind of pay or value would this much content be worth?

I’m trying to come up with some guidelines or goals for myself. Right now I’m writing at least 3 articles per day (to have a 1000 page site in 1 year).

Somedays I write one article, and it really seems like WORK. Other days 5-10 depending on the content, and what’s involved.. For instance blogging for hire is really simple, same with reviews..

The girls I hire vary, all of them come on board with gusto.. 4/5 great articles a day.. and then they get burned out pretty quickly.. and then hopefully they find a groove and turn in 2/3 a day consistently. However, I don’t really ‘make’ anyone write any certain number of articles a day.

If I HAVE to write when I don’t feel like it, i will.. but it won’t be the most intriguing thing you’ll ever read :P.

Good luck as a writer :)

I just have one motto when it comes to articles: cheap rarely means good, while pro usually means overpriced.

Indians for example can produce a mass quantity of cheap articles, but they suck so much you’d be ashamed of putting it up on your website without rewriting it.

Pros that know the value of gambling articles overcharge. A decent alternative is hiring a “pro” writer but that usually writes about something that doesn’t pay well.

The best person I’ve bought articles from was some guy who had lost his job and wanted to work from home, sort of like Lady Holdem said. Unfortunately for me, he found a job.

I guess those are my random thoughts about the subject based on my limited experience (as in more than a couple, less than a lot).

This offer seems to be ok, maybe even a little underpriced.

seems a bit racist to me dont you think??

I mean there are good writers and bad writers right.

Why would you say “Indians Suck”

    Pretty ignorant IMO.

    But all the best
