I find it odd that people selling these traffic deals can never can give me straight concise answers as to where the traffic is coming from.

“I find it odd that people selling these traffic deals can never can give me straight concise answers as to where the traffic is coming from.”

If this were a game show there would be 2 answers to this:

1 – They are worried that you will cut a deal with the traffic suppliers yourself – Wrong Answer

2 – If you knew the source of the traffic you would never buy it because it’s garbage – We Have A Winner!

I guess it’s not so odd they won’t answer your questions. If they do, they lose. If they don’t, we lose…

I ran my own gambling exit traffic exchange at one point in time. I had a lot of problems with it but that’s besides the point.

Owning one of those exchanges i was lucky to give myself that many pop unders, yet less sell them at those ridiculously low rates.

Something else that i found out. You dont make money off of popunders. There’s a reason they sell the traffic versus redirecting it to an affiliate program.

The website marketing wise was doing well. The software sucked. I actually sold it to Ispye which owns integrity casinos. You might have seen it at some point, it was called Casino Fuel. It even gave casino trade a run for its money. Casino trade copied my affiliate program almost word for word.

But notice that lately there are no casino exit traffic networks being used. Just like banner exchanges (i used to have one of those too, they are even worse) they do not convert. Assuming the traffic being sold is real it’s worthless. That’s why no one uses them. Casinos that own those type of exchanges dont even use them anymore.

I have done fairly well in the SEO realm, but I can assure you it alone hasn’t produced anything worth bragging about (at least comparatively speaking.) I have top 10 positions for several top keyword(s) / phrases and still am not satisfied with my rake so-to-speak.

I sent this inquiry to a salesman of cheap traffic ..

Could you please give me a quote for 10,000 , 25,000 and 100,000 impressions?

Also could you please explain to me how the traffic is delivered? Will it be via popups / unders or what?

    His reply was ..

Here is our rate per your request:
    10,000 visitors $97.10
    25,000 visitors $242.75
    100,000 visitors $900

We will present your website to visitors. They are actually visiting your website instead of banner impressions. That’s why we call it as VISITORS.

    I replied back with ..

When you say “We will present your website to visitors.” I am interested in
learning where this is done? Do you purchase traffic from gambling related sites? Is my site presented to visitors to other related sites via a popunder? Do you have a site where I can see how this task is being accomplished?

    His reply ..

We have dozens advertising sites where we place and deliver the visitors, but I can not divulge their identity based on our partner privacy policies.

Being the eager – optimistic beaver I am I ordered up 25,000 hits and ran them trough 2 levels of my own tracking. I ended up getting about 85% of the 25,000 hits and didn’t see any profits. Lesson Learned, but Im still curious! LOL

Rumour has it – and folks, this is only a rumour and I have nothing to back it up – that all this traffic comes from two canadian sources . It is raw traffic that is sent through a rudimentary gambling site to your site.

This was told to me by a seller of this type traffic in confidence. I have no idea if it has merit.

The truth is that nobody really knows where it comes from. The chain leading back to the originator is a long one.
