I have almost 30 of them and am really confused, which one to keep and which one to let go as these are costing heavily. Some of them are average sites. It seems no old technique is really working with google and what exactly the new technique I have no idea. Is there any one can share?

That’s kind of a tough question to answer, but perhaps you could rank all of your sites out of 10 for the following things, and see which ones come out the highest overall:

1. Amount of content (excluding thin content pages)
2. Amount of traffic
3. Number of conversions (I am assuming this probably doesn’t apply to you that much either because of lack of site-specific tracking, or due to lack of conversions….however including it in the list just in case)
4. Bounce rate (the lower the better)
5. Average time a visitor spends at the site (the higher the better obv)
6. Strength of domain name or brand
7. Visual quality of the site (custom templates/logos etc)
8. How passionate you are about the niche/subject of the site – will make regular new content in the future easier, the more passionate you are.
9. Age of site
10. Number of high quality natural inbound links
