If you take the CPM route, I would first start by analyzing your competition in the niche. There are websites like buysellads.com, buyads.com, (https://www.buyads.com/search?q=poker) and others that might be able to help you to do so. I don’t know of many affiliates in the gaming space that are running off of CPM, but if you have enough traffic it could certainly be the way to go. From what I’ve seen, alot of affiliates (like gshares above) have standardized flat-fee banners that they include for a pre-determined dollar amount
